Review:

Another week passes and perhaps the finest Hard Rock/Classic Rock/Stoner Rock label releases another top-notch album. Ripple have been on fire lately releasing so many great albums recently. Especially with the latest Gozu album. Now it's time for Foghound to release their new album on Ripple.

The World Unseen is a the perfect combination of Classic Rock, Doom Metal, Stoner Metal and good old fashioned Hard Rock. The album opens up with the heavy anthemic rhythms of Above The Wake and it's a song that sets the mood for the next 42 minutes or so. Hazy guitars and confident vocals with Foghound creating a damn fine powerful album. Shades of 70s classic hard rock spliced with a meaner modern day based Doom/Stoner metal sound.

Foghound are a band perfectly at ease playing top-notch classic rock but they also thrive on playing the heavier style of rock/metal that appear later on the album. Foghound are a very hard band to define as they play a vast array of different styles but that's a good thing as most of the songs have a different vibe to each other. Sure I could provide a song by song review as I normally do but not this time. This album in essence is a true hard rock album. It's an album you will be rocking out to for a long time to come. It's what music is all about. Losing yourself in the moment and Foghound create many heavy moments for you to admire. My favourite part of the album is when the band embrace their Doom/Stoner Rock roots as they create some of the albums heaviest and exciting moments.

You can see why people are starting to go crazy over this album. Songs such as Serpentine, Give Up The Ghost and Street Machine are perfect examples of why Ripple Music signed Foghound to their roster. Each song contains a classic vintage sound while creating a modern based sound.

The World Unseen is a HUGE album in every sense of the word and it's an album you cannot do without. With the album being released by Ripple Music, you know it's going to be good as these guys always deliver the goods. A thrilling and exciting album from start to finish. Do yourself a favour and get this album now. You won't be sorry.
