Droni Eye Omi announce new album, ‘Thwaites’ out on December 11th via Desert Records.

The drone duo return to journey with the listener to Antarctica to explore themes of the melting Thwaites Glacier.

Thwaites’ is the second studio album following the band’s heavy and spacey drone psychedelia of ‘Liminal Mass’ in 2025.

Brad Frye (Red Mesa) and Ronaldo Baca weave guitars to evoke a cold and watery vibe on ‘Thwaites’ for the lamenting of the “doomsday” glacier.

Simple sympathy, with a complexity that goes beyond what Droni Eye Omi is playing. So many harmonics and colors and orbits and accelerations and explosions…
