Stoner Rockers PARIAHLORD Announce Second Album "Mirrors" – Set for Release on November 22, 2024, via Timezone Records

The Hagen-based stoner rock band PARIAHLORD will release their second album, "Mirrors," on November 22, 2024, through the renowned label Timezone Records. Just like their debut album, "Vultures," "Mirrors" was recorded at Gernhart Studios in Troisdorf with producer Martin Buchwalter (Destruction, Tankard), who captured the band's raw energy and powerful sound perfectly.

"Mirrors" showcases PARIAHLORD at their best: raw, uncompromising, yet melodic. Building on the strengths of their previous work, the band expands their musical range, solidifying their position as one of the most exciting bands in the German stoner and prog rock scene.

As a taste of what's to come, PARIAHLORD will release their first single, "The Hole in the Wall," on November 1, 2024. This entirely acoustic track reveals a surprisingly mellow and introspective side of the band, breaking through their typically powerful sound while still maintaining their signature desert rock vibe. This single hints at the diverse range that "Mirrors" has to offer.

"'Mirrors' is an evolution of our sound," says guitarist and vocalist Carsten Schmitt. "It's darker, more emotional, and at the same time more complex than 'Vultures,' but it still packs the energy and punch that our fans love."

Formed in 2019, the band from Hagen consists of Carsten Schmitt (guitar, vocals), Jan Kurtze (bass), and Phil Röttgers (drums). PARIAHLORD's unique blend of stoner rock, prog elements, and a dark, atmospheric intensity has captivated listeners. Their debut album "Vultures" (2022) received widespread critical acclaim and established them as a rising force in the stoner rock scene.

Their debut album "Vultures" (2022) received widespread critical acclaim. As Metal Revolution noted, "Vultures witnesses the band that has matured and developed their sound and song-writing skills since their first highly-acclaimed 2020 release, Embrace the Misery." This acknowledges that PARIAHLORD have evolved and continue to push their boundaries—a progression that's clearly reflected in their journey from "Vultures" to "Mirrors."

With "Mirrors," PARIAHLORD continues to forge their path, delivering an album that embraces both the heavy guitar riffs and subtle psychedelic elements of their previous works while exploring new, unexpected musical directions.

Working with producer Martin Buchwalter again played a crucial role in shaping the album's sound. "Martin knows exactly how to bring out the best in our sound," says bassist Jan Kurtze. "He captures the essence of our music and makes sure that every riff hits hard."

Drummer Phil Röttgers adds, "We’ve evolved musically without losing our roots. The songs are more versatile but still just as heavy. We're excited to see how our fans will react."

Following the successful "Vultures" tour through Germany and Switzerland, the band plans to support the new album with more live performances. "Live shows are the heart of our music," says Carsten Schmitt. "We can't wait to play the new songs live and share that energy with our fans."
