South African's Ethyl Ether unveil the video for new single Six Feet Of Snow.

Six Feet of Snow is the latest single from SAMA (South African Music Award) nominated rock and roll 5-piece Ethyl Ether. The track charges with shoegaze aesthetics and classic loud-quiet-loud sonics. A surrealistic, wall of sound tsunami, Six Feet Of Snow nods to classic moshpit gymnastic-styled choruses that detonate with alluring magic and subsiding tides of hypnotic sedation. Taken from the bands forthcoming album Violent Entertainment which is out on the 27th of January 2023 via Mongrel Records.

Cape Town's Ethyl Ether reveal the video for their new single Field Of Shadows

South African Psychedelic Rock and Roll band Ethyl Ether release shoegaze dream rock masterpiece, Field Of Shadows. The track is taken from their forthcoming studio album Violent Entertainment and follows the bands SAMA (South African Music Awards) nominated 2021 release Chrome Neon Jesus. Ethyl Ether draw from a deep well of musical inspiration painting a heady palette of blues, shoegaze, stoner, psychedelia, and classic rock 'n roll.

South African psychedelic stoner rock quartet Ethyl Ether reveal the video for their new single, Under The Milky Way.

Originally released in 1998 by Australian alternative rockers The Church, the bands version is taken from their latest album Chrome Neon Jesus.

The band formed just over 3 years ago, with regular shows across South Africa as well as releasing 2 albums The Pleasure Room and Museum Of Human Error including a live EP Into Chaos.

The band’s latest album, Chrome Neon Jesus sees the end of a two-year labour of love, featuring a tougher sound and psychedelic textures.

Chrome Neon Jesus explores the darker, grittier side of life and reflects their experiences and observations on everyday living.

“The reason for covering the song was unconscious and unintentional to say the least. One day at rehearsal we all started playing the song and gave it our own blend of secret herb & spice. We tried the song live and people seemed to dig it. So, we recorded it for the new album. Now we have a music video to go along with it which I think is rather thought provoking. I hope The Church enjoy our interpretation of their song.” Comments bassists and Vocalist Pabs. Andrew Charles Paine, vocals and guitar adds, “I heard this song when I was growing up, always moved me and when we played it as a band it just worked... such a great tune.”

Ethyl Ether have unveiled the eerie video for their track Therapy?

Cape Town based psychedelic alternative rock band Ethyl Ether have unveiled the eerie video for their track Therapy? taken from their upcoming album Chrome Neon Jesus which releases on the 15th May 2020. 

. The band formed just over 3 years and have been gigging regularly around Cape Town’s music venues as well as releasing 2 albums ’The Pleasure Room' and 'Museum Of Human Error' plus a live ep 'Into Chaos'.

For the new album their sound has toughened up and they’ve added a load of psychedelic textures. They explore the darker, grittier side of life and reflect their experiences and observations on everyday living.

Vocalist and guitarist Andrew Paine comments on the track, "Therapy? is a song about our inability as humans to be content with what we have...always wanting more"

The band was unable to get together to shoot a video due to a countrywide lockdown because of the current covid-19 pandemic, so they used a montage of clips taken from classic and cult horror and thriller films. 

“The footage was chosen for the way it perfectly captured the menacing tone of the song and enhances the audio experience for the viewer” comments Andrew who edited the video.
