Initially released in 2023, Demons My Friends' debut full-length "Demons Seem To Gather" is a powerhouse blend of drop-tuned grunge riffs, doom structures, soaring melodies, groove-laden rhythms and psychedelic harmonies. Sonic touchstones include Monolord, King Buffalo, All Them Witches and Soundgarden, while their musicianship brilliantly transcends most genre trappings. The album was recorded at Red Nova Ranch in Austin, TX and Soga Records in Jiutepec, Mexico; produced and mixed by Jeff Henson at Red Nova Ranch in Austin, TX; mastered for vinyl by Esben Willems (Monolord) at Studio Berserk in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Demons My Friends have recently signed a worldwide deal with Ripple Music for the release of their upcoming sophomore album in the spring of 2026. Stay tuned for more info!

"A highly captivating and first rate release." - Outlaws of the Sun

"The trio can bring big riffs as well as surprisingly dense, climactic hooks that help shake up their pacing, introducing drama into their luxuriously groovy pacing.” - Invisible Oranges

"A face-melting mix of sludgy power chords, thunderous drumming, Black Sabbath-meets-Soundgarden/Alice In Chains-like solos and crooned vocals with an expansive song structure." - Joy of Violent Movement

Demons My Friends, whose three members originate from Mexico City, was born during an impromptu recording session at SXSW Festival 2022 in Austin, TX. The concept of their debut album "Demons Seem To Gather" (2023) explores the inner journey its members have embarked on since the onset of the COVID pandemic, confronting inner demons and battling anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and rage, while teaching themselves how to turn these demons into their "friends". Their sound is both emotionally charged and adventurous, mixing raw power with a sense of reflective moodiness, while the lyrical themes often deal with personal struggles, societal matters, and the complexities of human experience with a touch of existential or philosophical contemplation.

As part of the promotion of "Demons Seem To Gather", Demons My Friends provided tour support for Bruce Dickinson and Graveyard in Mexico, and also performed at major festivals like Levitation, SXSW, Mexico Metal Fest and Ripplefest Texas.

European Stoner Eock Icons LOWRIDER to reissue special 25th anniversary edition of classic debut album "Ode to Io" on Blues Funeral Recordings

The godfathers of European stoner rock LOWRIDER are set to release a special 25th anniversary reissue of their landmark album "Ode to Io" in a limited deluxe edition this September 19th, with preorders available now via Blues Funeral Recordings.

At the dawn of the internet, bands and fans around the world coalesced in the wake of defunct Palm Springs originators Kyuss to craft their own visions of the desert rock sound. Standing foremost among them was Lowrider, whose debut, "Ode to Io", became the blueprint countless others would follow. Stream the full album at this location.

Now, longtime fans and new arrivals can delve into this rumbling chronicle of seminal desert fuzz-heaviness in deluxe remastered glory. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of its original release on September 19, 2000, Lowrider present a towering new reissue of this absolute foundational text for the post-Kyuss stoner rock movement.

“This is the version they didn’t let us do back then — only better. I can’t wait for people to see it”, says singer and bassist Peder Bergstrand. “When we handed in Ode to Io to be printed back in 1999, we had this elaborate silver screen print for the cover. But the external label tasked with making the vinyl were cheapskates. They forced the 2LP playing time into one LP, resulting in subpar audio quality. To finish off, they printed the elaborate silver cover as plain grayscale. Needless to say, we were pretty gutted by the result. Ever since, I’ve dreamt of making THAT version, doing it justice. That is exactly what we’ve done with the 25th anniversary version of ‘Ode to Io'.”

“It’s forever humbling and mindblowing that people care so much about this album, a fourth of a century later. We wanted to do the record justice, and invite fans to see photos and hear stories from that period that we haven’t shared before”.

This limited new special edition of "Ode to Io" will be issued on silver, black and white color merge 2xLP and features previously unpublished photos, essays, liner notes from the band, and updated silverboard packaging and silver-infused art and design.

As the preeminent band out of the gate in the late 90s post-Kyuss wake, Lowrider's debut EP and seminal album 'Ode to Io' were foundational slabs at the dawn of stoner rock. The swinging metal offshoot grew quickly into a worldwide phenomenon, with Lowrider established as one of its undeniable trailblazers. Following those early releases with a handful of compilation and soundtrack appearances and a period of relative inactivity, the band re-emerged at DesertFest Berlin in 2013. They've since blown minds at Hellfest, Keep it Low, DesertFest London and Belgium, Stoned from the Underground and Up in Smoke, and issued expanded remastered versions of their original records. All that was left was to give the world something new...

Released in early 2020 through Blues Funeral Recordings, Lowrider's long-awaited sophomore album 'Refractions' explodes with all the churning fuzz and expansive riff-heaviness for which the band are beloved, shot through with re-energized purpose and maturity. "Refractions" received widespread acclaim from global critics, landing a top spot on numerous year-end lists. The band has since unleashed an applauded collaborative album with London’s psychedelic doom pillars Elephant Tree, branded "irresistible" by Rolling Stone Magazine and hailed as "one of the most gorgeous releases both bands have ever crafted" by Doom Charts.

Lowrider is currently working on their next album, due to start recording in early 2026. They will perform at this year's Keep it Low Festival (Munich, DE) and DesertFest Belgium (Antwerp, BE) this October in further celebration of their debut album's monumental legacy.

New Orleans Stoner Metallers SUPLECS (with former EyeHateGod) sign to Ripple Music for new album release and reissue of their Man's Ruin catalog!

New Orleans stoner rock veterans SUPLECS ink a worldwide deal with Ripple Music for the upcoming release of their first studio album in over a decade, as well as the reissue of their early 2000s Man's Ruin records "Wrestlin’ With My Lady Friend" and "Sad Songs… Better Days".

Hailing from New Orleans, and formed in 1996, SUPLECS has been a power trio force to be reckoned with in the stoner rock community. Consisting of Danny Nick (former EyeHateGod), Durel Yates, and Andrew Preen, Suplecs released their first album “Wrestlin With My Lady Friend” on Frank Kozik’s famous Man’s Ruin Records in 2000 and produced by Danny’s EyeHateGod bandmate Jimmy Bower. Their sophomore effort “Sad Songs, Better Days” was released the following year on Man’s Ruin Records and produced by Dave Fortman, then reissued in 2002 after the demise of Kozik’s home for all things heavy.

This period found SUPLECS touring relentlessly from coast to coast with bands such as Clutch, Alabama Thunderpussy, Dixie Witch, High On Fire, Corrosion of Conformity, Gwar, and Halfway To Gone. Their third album “Powtin On The Outside, Pawty On The Inside” was released in 2004 and produced by another NOLA heavyweight, Pepper Keenan of Corrosion of Conformity. Unfortunately, the album failed to gain the traction it deserved as it was released on local label Nocturnal Records, which was sidelined along with the band and everyone from New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina.

After a period of rebuilding, SUPLECS reemerged through various appearances over the next few years at SXSW with help from their next home Small Stone Records. In 2011, they released their fourth album “Mad Oak Redoux” and gained a coveted High Times Magazine Award as “Stoner Rock Band Of The Year.” The following years saw them continue their musical journey with appearances at Voodoo Fest, Mutants Of Monsters Fest, and Bayou Boogaloo along with yearly pilgrimages to their second home in Austin, Texas. Their music has been featured on TV shows such as “Dog The Bounty Hunter” and “MTV’s Fun Factory”. Age, marriage, children, business ventures, and divorce played roles in the members' musical commitment over the last decade.

2025 will mark the 25th Anniversary of SUPLECS Annual Mardi Gras show in New Orleans, a yearly staple for over 500 people. In early 2024, the trio started to write new material after many years of playing early material. With all that has transpired in their lives, the trio is now finishing the writing of their fifth album, which promises to be a culmination of their previous efforts with more raw heaviness and age-old swagger than some of their earlier works.

Danny Nick - Bass, Vocals
Durel Yates - Guitars, Vocals
Andrew Preen - Drums, Percussion

THE SABIANS (with former SLEEP members) to reissue "Shiver" album on Ripple Music this December 9th. Pre-orders available now.

Bay Area heavy rock project THE SABIANS (with former Sleep members Justin Marler and Chris Hakius) will reissue their 1993 album "Shiver" this December 9th, as part of Ripple Music's "Beneath The Desert Floor" vinyl series.

"Shiver" is the sixth chapter of Ripple Music's "Beneath The Desert Floor" series, which unearths long-lost treasures from the golden days of stoner and desert rock.

Hailing from the San Francisco Bay area, The Sabians feature two former members of doom metal legends Sleep, whose three seminal early 90's albums were among the most influential of the genre. After taking part in the sessions for Sleep's first album, 1991's "Vol. 1", guitarist Justin Marler quit the band and enlisted with a Russian Orthodox monastery, where he spent the next seven years training to become a monk.

Once he had completed his studies, Marler reunited with Sleep drummer Chris Hakius in 1999 to form The Sabians. With the help of fellow Sleep alumni Matt Pike (by then fronting High on Fire), the duo secured a rehearsal space and began auditioning musicians. Lead guitarist Patrick Huerta soon came on board, but a small army of bassists slipped through their ranks before the arrival of Rachel Fischer in late 2001.

Says Justin Marler about the album: "The music on The Sabians album Shiver is a direct result of my time in the monastery, where I wared with my demons. The album is a musical expression of spiritual warfare, with songs like One by One, Sweet Misery, and Cannibal Machine that dig deep into the fight for one's soul. A few years before forming The Sabians, I was on a remote island in Alaska living as a monk in a Russian Monastery. I wrote a book called 'Youth of the Apocalypse' a couple years after leaving Sleep. The book captures my thoughts about the world, pop culture and religion while I was a monk. It was out of print for decades until a new edition was released by Big White Star."

"Shiver" was recorded in March 2003 and released in July 2003, featuring nine songs and a hidden track. It was engineered by Masaki Liu.

It will be reissued in Burning Red Marbled Limited LP edition, Darkest Before Dawn Black Limited LP edition as well as digital format through Ripple Music, with preorders available below.

You can listen to "Shiver" in full on all streaming services.

In 2020, the trio entered the new decade refreshed and with well-earned veteran status resulting from countless tours and festival appearances, tearing roofs off with their unstoppable and infectious rock’n’roll energy. In 2020, they released their eighth album “Cosmic Ritual Supertrip” on Heavy Psych Sounds to great applause from the international rock and metal community, followed by the "Live at Desertfest Belgium" album in 2021 in celebration of the band's 15th anniversary.
