Review
UK
Hard Rock/Heavy Metal mob – Demidog – released their debut
mini-album – I – last year and I was recently given the chance to
listen it. Demidog are primarily a classic heavy metal combo and one
that will appeal most to that fanbase. It seems Demidog grew up on a
steady diet of classic 80s Heavy Metal bands.
The
EP, sorry mini-album has some very good songs indeed with Water,
Shatan and Regression being the main highlights. You can expect some
thrash metal sounds from opening track – Water. Excellent guitar
riffs with grizzled vocals from Pete. The production for a debut
release is good but overall it sounds very choppy in places. Though
it's a debut record. You're hear mainly for the music and Demidog
impress throughout.
I
used to love this kind of sound back in my younger days. As Demidog
create music that is perfect moshpit material. Heavy and unforgiving
with riffs you can't but help rocking out to. Their music isn't going
to change the world but who cares as Demidog know who they are and
they create a fine amount of noise.
If
you're a fan of the old-school Hard Rock/Heavy Metal world. My
advice, head-over to Demidog's Facebook page, give it a like and pay
a few quid for a copy of their superb debut mini-album. Expect a
barrage of non-stop heavy thrash based riffs.
Excellent
and Highly Recommended.
