Review:
Italian
Grunge/Stoner Metal band – Chaos Being – debut album is a very
exciting and lively affair. The production could have done with more
work in the early stages but Chaos Being craft a modern sounding
record with touches of classic Stoner Rock appearing here and there.
Fans
of Kyuss will no doubt get a kick out of this record as the band are
slightly influenced by them on tracks such as Don't Understand and
Sway. The grungier metallic vibe allows Chaos Being create a more
psychedelic layered affair. Riccardo's vocals are assured from the
start with fine instrumental work from the other members of the band.
Chaos
Being are not doing anything new but they play with a fiery passion
and that allows their music to offer some exciting riffs. Especially
if you're in the mood for some good old fashioned Desert/Stoner Metal
grooves. Though I wasn't expecting the Punk Rock vibes the band
include on later stages of the album. I must say Riccardo does have a
certain John Garcia style delivery with his vocals. Definitely one of
the highlights of the album.
Do
yourself a favour and check out Chaos Being. It's a shame the album
is only on for 30 minutes or so but it gets the job done of
entertaining the hell out of you. A seriously damn fine album. The
future bodes well for Chaos Being.
