Bronco Forte is a Los Angeles desert rock / grunge band specializing in heavy riffs, hypnotic rhythms, and melodic hooks. Their doom-laden-guitar-rock approach is influenced by bands like QOTSA, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden and Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats.
Bronco Forte released their self-titled debut mini-album in early 2023, and is currently working on the songs for their next release and booking performances around the southwestern United States.
You can check out the video below for their excellent new song Druid.
Bronco Forte say this about the song:
"The remit for Bronco Forte’s song concepts is that the song must describe something that would look good airbrushed on the side of a van. In the case of “Druid”, the song describes an ancient nature wizard perched in the hills overlooking the cities of man, observing the damage that we have done to the world and to ourselves. This figure needs take no action to ensure the downfall of our technological hellscape, instead he (or she) serves as an emblem of nature’s inevitable triumph over humankind’s destructive schemes: “burning towers / mark the hours / until the crows come home.”
Bronco Forte say this about the video:
"The band was very lucky to work with their close friends, co-directors Colin Boroski and Jonty Fine. Jonty captured footage of the band performing near their rehearsal space in the industrial wasteland of Vernon, CA, and Colin paired that footage with evocative and desolate imagery of mankind’s intrusion into the natural world. The contrast provides a visual commentary that parallels the mood and lyrics of the song."
