Matt C. White - Everything

Review

Multi Instrumentalist Matt C. White returns with their latest offering The Flood which is another moody offering into the world of Classic Rock and Psych Rock sensibilities. The record follows a similar structure to the 2025 album A Cosmic Year with subtle flashes of Psych, Stoner Rock, Space Rock and KrautRock that allows Matt to embrace his love affair with the different levels of Hard Rock.

There’s some hazy Blues Rock creative energy that’s heard throughout the album with Matt showing some musical influences by the likes of The Black Keys, Hawkwind, The Sword and Brant Bjork. The Proto-Metal and Classic Hard Rock delivery works exceptionally well from the start of the superb opening tracks of Three Hunters, Evil Wheel and Away. There’s a gloomy Garage Rock presence which moves into a slightly distorted Space Rock backdrop with small instances of Gloom & Doom holding everything back.

The music is quite warped but with a great style of melodic rock forming within the freakish Progressive beats that align the musical landscape. Matt’s vocals have an outsider delivery to them with his vocal range bringing Seventies Hard Rock themes to a more modern day setting. The instrumental sounds are constantly evolving into a heavier style of Cosmic Doom and Stoner Rock landscape.

This feels like THE SWORD (early era) jamming with MC5 and The Black Keys where there are riffs galore waiting to be found within the standout tracks of Away, Cold Water and Ursa. The Flood works best when Matt explores the Cosmic and Psychedelic themes of his music which transforms into some vibrant musical passages that superbly nail on the Post-Stoner and Post-Rock quality of the whole record.

The Space Rock delivery is almost hopeful, content and brilliantly realistic when it goes for a more "exploratory" approach. The whole thing becomes laid back where Matt allows his SONIC EXPERIMENTATION skills do the heavy lifting especially within The Flood and Cold Water.

This is quite a short album lasting around twenty seven minutes of new material as the final three tracks are instrumental versions of Evil Wheel, Cold Water and Ursa. These are actually great versions to include as you begin to forge a more emotional connection to these tracks especially if you’re a fan of Instrumental Rock music.

The Flood is mostly fuelled by Classic Rock structures with some slight detours into modern soundscapes which allows Matt C. White to deliver a worthy and outstanding follow up record to his acclaimed 2025 album A Cosmic Year. This record may not be as heavy as that album but it’s perhaps more vivid and dare I say more emotionally charged and superbly original.

Matt C. White has taken his music into greater musical heights and has released a highly mature offering that gets the job done.

Excellent and Highly Recommended.

Review

Psych Stoner Rockers Paranoid Reverb return in stunning fashion with their second album Red River Black Roots which builds upon the highly atmospheric grooves created on their acclaimed 2020 debut album. The record has a grittier and spaced out attitude with a massive wall of sound developing very early on within the album. Paranoid Reverb have a similar cosmic style of music next to the likes of ELDER, Weedpecker, King Buffalo and Howling Giant. Though, you hear classic Stoner Rock/Metal sounds influenced by the likes of KYUSS, Truckfighters and FU MANCHU.

There’s many different levels of Heavy Rock appearing with some cool switches to Doom and Sludge melodies. The whole thing has a gloomy progressive power that allows Paranoid Reverb venture into that classic Heavy Metal realm with some mighty guitar shredding appearing out of nowhere.

Perhaps it’s not as grounded as their debut album but there is a thrilling sense of musical adventure bursting out of the seams on tracks such as: Ancatha, 0315 and Da Capo which combines moody atmospherics with aggressive psychedelic landscapes. The vocals move from areas of Alt Rock, Grunge and Stoner Rock themes with a delicate Blues Rock touch that appear in the quieter and most emotionally charged parts of the album.

Paranoid Reverb even manage to find the time to perform a subtle moody Blues Rock environment where everything played a delicate slow-to-mid pace but they sprinkle some distorted Psychedelic Doom measures within the ice-cold atmosphere. The band really start to impress more when they start thinking outside the Heavy Psychedelic sandbox and deliver some gritty soundscapes within the second half of the album.

Everything becomes quite gloomy when a theatrical Post-Rock and Ambient soundscape appears in the background with Paranoid Reverb offering a more refined style of music.

Red River Black Roots fully becomes a more dangerous and aggressive record to listen to when Paranoid Reverb fully embrace that Sludge Rock vibe within their music that dominates the second half of the album on tracks such as F.U., Come Undone and Quicksand. The great mix of raw sounding Stoner Rock passages melts away at the Psychedelic landscape with a stripped back swagger that forms a heavy Cosmic Doom delivery.

The lyrics aren’t as outlandish as you expect with Paranoid Reverb keeping everything real and never overthinking things. This allows the album to move along at a great pace with the whole album never overstaying itss welcome. Some parts can be brash with the raw-sounding production values but this is one of the albums main strengths with the record having a true honest feel to it all.

Red River Black Roots is an expertly produced record with Paranoid Reverb firing on all cylinders and delivering a superbly entertaining album from start to finish.

French Heavy Rock Trio GREYBORN sign with Mrs Red Sound for the release of their debut album ‘Insoluble’ this Fall

GREYBORN's cold, disillusioned heavy rock is being released as a full-length album for the very first time! Following two brilliant EPs, the band have signed to Mrs Red Sound and announced the release of their debut album ‘Insoluble’ on November 20th 2026. First video excerpt Cold Metal Bowels is available to watch now.

As a major milestone in GREYBORN’s history, the new album ‘Insoluble’ marks a lineup change: drummer-vocalist Théo Jude has swapped his drums for a guitar. The project takes on a whole new depth and seems to reveal far greater potential. GREYBORN’s new album ‘Insoluble’ skilfully straddles the boundary between different styles without ever wavering or veering into nonsense. The solid heavy foundation – at times doom, at times psychedelic, and even metal – is enhanced by clean vocals in a 90' style. ‘Insoluble’ has struck the right balance between simplicity and complexity, between impact and atmosphere. Themes of the ego, of abandoning oneself and others, of disappearance and fading away, feature prominently throughout the album.

'Insoluble' was recorded by Théo Jude and Guillaume Barrou, assisted by Thomas Marchand and Alexis Bardet, and mixed by Théo Jude. The mastering was handled by Thibault Chaumont of Deviant Lab.

Much like the album it represents, GREYBORN’s new track “Cold Metal Bowels” straddles genres, featuring clear, pop-rock, 90-inspired vocals, yet with instrumentation that sounds purely stoner, doom and metal. The disenchantment is obvious and reflected in the meticulous crafting of atmospheres and themes, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. The apparent coherence is never quite what it seems.

Guitarist and singer Théo Jude explains: “In Greyborn, we aim to find our balance between pop and ‘metal’, between simplicity and complexity, between efficiency and atmosphere, melody and rhythm. Instinctively, the theme that emerged for “Cold Metal Bowels” is the concept of emptiness. Like many people, I feel trapped in a society and a system that I don’t understand but of which I am inevitably a part. To try and portray this lack of faith, this disillusionment, this feeling of being trapped with no possible escape, Seb and I decided to depict lonely characters, lost in everyday settings that have been rendered empty and strange.”

The music video was directed by Seb Antoine. Stream the single and presave the album on the plateformes at this location.

GREYBORN emerged in 2021 from that space between light and darkness, somewhere amidst the damp, mineral-like chill of Limoges. Led at the time by a drummer-vocalist, the band forged its own balance, shaping its raw materials: crushing heaviness, contemplative violence, epic melodies, and hypnotic atmospheres that were by turns sombre and radiant.

‘Leeches’, their debut EP released in 2022, saw them play around thirty gigs in France alongside Mondo Generator, Nebula, My Diligence, Pogo Car Crash Control… ‘Leeches’ was followed by a second EP in March 2024, ‘Scars’. From ‘Leeches’ to ‘Scars’, these releases weave a chronology and a causal link between the themes of the two EPs. Matthieu Giordano of The Heavy Chronicles listened to ‘Scars’ and wrote that “the trio’s music intensifies with this second EP, which boasts a massive, raw sound. Full of heaviness and rage, more disjointed and yet just as refined, it’s the gifted and carefree little brother to ‘Leeches’. Grittier and far more confident in its spontaneity and stoner roots, this second effort pushes all the knobs into the red.”

In 2025, drummer-vocalist Théo Jude became guitarist-vocalist and, after a few gigs that cemented the new line-up, GREYBORN recorded their debut album. Retaining the influences of their previous EPs, ‘Insoluble’ also reveals a darker, more melancholic and aggressive face. It comes out on November 20th 2026, on Mrs Red Sound (vinyl, digital) and F2M Planet (CD).

US Psychedelic Rock Trio SNAKE MOUNTAIN REVIVAL to issue new album "The Divide" on Ripple Music this October 23rd; stream title track now!

East Coast-based genre-crossing psychedelic trio SNAKE MOUNTAIN REVIVAL announces the release of their sophomore full-length "The Divide" this October 23rd on Ripple Music, and shares the dark and gripping title track on all streaming services today.

Get compelled by new single "The Divide" at this location

On their forthcoming second album and Ripple Music debut The Divide, the versatile Virginia Beach trio channels a world in chaos into a cathartic and unflinching sonic reckoning, leveraging modern psychedelia, surf rock and folkier elements with a darker edge. Confronting everything from the anger and frustration caused by personal turmoil and a country on fire, SNAKE MOUNTAIN REVIVAL relinquished control to deliver nine sharp, reckless and definitely genre-bending tracks.

As frontman Ryan Chandler puts it, "I mean to provoke. We always have. 'The Divide' isn’t all thorns and rough edges, though. A major juxtaposition in many of these songs intends to remind us what we might be fighting for. When we protect beauty, peace, love and contentment, sometimes we must show our fangs. We show ours with this new album." The Divide will be issued on October 23rd in various vinyl editions as well as on CD and digital, with preorders available soon on Ripple Music.

New album "The Divide" - Out October 23rd on Ripple Music (LP/CD/digital)

Formed in coastal Virginia in the summer of 2017, SNAKE MOUNTAIN REVIVAL emerged from a collision of distinct musical pedigrees. Drummer Josh Woodhouse brought the precision of Florida's death metal and progressive scenes, bassist/vocalist Ryan Chandler channeled experimental and psychedelic depths, and now former guitarist Zack Trowbridge rounded out the trio with a foundation in blues, jazz, and surf rock. The chemistry was immediate and their early gigs built entirely on improvised sets accompanied by liquid light shows, quickly became the stuff of local legend. Rather than hide from their influences, Snake Mountain Revival playfully embellish them, crafting a vibrant, forward-looking take on psychedelia that feels both timeless and restless.

Their 2018 self-titled demo EP caught fire in the blogosphere, earning praise on both sides of the Atlantic and establishing the band as a formidable live act. In 2021, they released their debut album Everything Is Sight on Rebel Waves Records, hailed as "a vibrant, vast and unyielding landscape that any set of ears will enjoy conquering" by Distorted Sound Magazine. With a polarizing, high-energy presence and crossover sound, they've shared stages with kindred spirits like Acid Dad, Freedom Hawk, Sammi Lanzetta, and Frankie & the Witch Fingers.

Now, with their sophomore album The Divide, SNAKE MOUNTAIN REVIVAL turns inward and outward at once. Set for a October 23rd, 2026 release on Ripple Music, this new outing promises to catch listeners off guard and compel them into their own peculiar, transcending realm.

Review

Psych/Space Rock/KrautRock collective HIJSS return with their sophomore self-titled record and continue the great work the band achieved with their acclaimed 2024 debut album Stuck On Common Ground. This time round HIJSS conjured up a more surreal Electro Rock tinged offering compared to their last album. The Space Rock dynamics once again opens the door to other musical areas appearing such as Grunge, Shoegaze, Punk and Blues Rock with a band that are fully cooking on gas with a wild assortment of outrageous grooves and stunning Spaced Out melodies.

Lead vocalist Lois Lane definitely taps into his Post-Punk persona which takes small creative cues from the likes of Monster Magnet, TORCHE and FU MANCHU throughout the album. The sludgy sounds have an aggressive rhythm and boisterous warm-hearted nature to them which you can instantly feel through the stunning opening tracks of Drain Of Thought and Vicious Cycle. The sound is fast paced and wonderfully efficient especially when HIJSS play a faster style of Sludge/Stoner Rock that still has a grounded Punk Rock approach. The Psychedelic and Space Rock beats have a glorious level of infectious COSMIC surroundings that have some destructive lyrics appearing.

The WEEDIAN themes arrive quite quickly and HIJSS lay that attitude brilliantly thick on the excellent second track Vicious Cycle which reminds me of Dave Wnydorf in his prime. Spiky lyrics which are merged with KrautRock and Post-Punk philosophies which run riot throughout the album. The screeching Electronic beats once again add a warped rhythm with overlapping instrumental passages that’s got some epic synths appearing along the way.

When the stunning and warped tracks Parasite and Underwater appear then HIJSS are simply unstoppable creating music that blends Science Fiction folklore and grounded sensibilities with the music once again being superbly effective whilst being quite hard to describe. There’s a small instance of Industrial beats appearing which allows that KRAUTROCK sound transforming into a gloomier style of Noise, Grunge and Stoner Metal with maximum levels of distorted volumes holding everything together.

Though, HIJSS apply instances of brilliantly played “semi-acoustic” passages which gives this record a gloomier energy with some of the freakiest and trippiest COSMIC grooves forming that leave you in such a cool hallucinogenic state. HIJSS have achieved and created such great things within the first half of the album you begin to wonder how they will top this?

I’m happy to report - Quite Easily!!! - As they keep going on performing and creating more outlandish and heavy distorted “COSMIC GRUNGE” songs that really show how HIJSS have their own original style of music whilst allowing the listener to be transported into their massive sounding world. Songs such as Dopemine and S.W.A.N. are the heaviest, loudest and weirdest songs on the record with the trippy synths and Post-Punk vocals adding a wave of intense movements which are refreshingly “HIP” with HIJSS having a completely FEARLESS attitude appearing within their music.

The final two tracks of Fatal Attraction of OUTRO once again blurs the boundaries between Time and Space with HIJSS applying heavy modern day themes for a mind expanding experience.  HIJSS are always continuing to re-invent themselves through every individual track which makes the album highly unpredictable.

HIJSS are absolute masters of their own Space Rock / Cosmic Grunge domain which leaves you in a complete trance for an album that is bold, hypnotic, mind blowing and brilliantly original within its own right. This is an essential record that everyone needs to fully experience and add to their record collections quickly as possible.

Stoner Fuzz Merchants HUMULUS release new single "Blue Wizard"; new album “Smuggler’s Cave” out October 9th on Ripple Music

North of Italy's stoner rock revelation HUMULUS shares the high-octane third single taken from their new full-length "Smuggler's Cave", due out on October 9th through Californian independent label Ripple Music.

Get fuzzy with new Humulus single Blue Wizard

Smuggler’s Cave marks HUMULUS’ fifth LP and their second outing with vocalist/guitarist Thomas Mascheroni. Following 2023's Flowers Of Death, the band spent two years traversing Europe’s stages, and it was in the cracks between tours that the improvisations for this record took root. True to form, the band returned to the rehearsal room for marathon sessions, capturing hours of raw interplay, isolating the sparks and forging new songs from the embers.

The riffs might hit harder than ever before, yet HUMULUS’s sonic hallmark remains intact with a deft pivot from rhythmic, classic stoner crunch into more psychedelic and introspective depths. Leading the listener through mysterious settings, tales of wizards, cemetery dreams, damned souls and the shade of dark forests, this high-voltage new delivery fills the air with electricity and will compel anyone who worships at the altar of Dozer, Truckfighters, Lowrider and Greenleaf. Check out the album's latest singles Rise and Fall and Standing in the Sun!

New album "Smuggler's Cave" - Out October 9th on Ripple Music (LP/CD/digital)

Humulus is an Italian psych-stoner power trio formed in Brescia, Italy in 2009. Born from the heavy lineage of Kyuss, Karma to Burn and Orange Goblin, they quickly built a reputation across southern Europe with their crushing debut on Go Down Records.

A lineup shift in 2015 flipped the script. New frontman Andrea Bellicini pushed the band into trippier, more dynamic territory through longer songs, richer atmospheres and a sound that outgrew stoner orthodoxy. The years that followed saw Humulus touring non-stop with European festival runs (Freak Valley, Desertfest Belgium, Up In Smoke), and a string of acclaimed LPs that veered from doom-laced riffage to sprawling psychedelic meditation. Another mutation came in late 2022 with the arrival of Thomas Mascheroni, reigniting the band’s chemistry and leading to a fresh creative burst. They hit the road again, sharing stages with heavyweights like Colour Haze and Monkey3, while steadily forging new material.

When founder Giorgio Bonacorsi stepped back in 2026, the remaining core members enlisted Fabio Giacomini to complete the lineup and write their most ambitious work yet, to be released in the fall 2026 on Ripple Music.

Bees Made Honey In The Vein Tree - In Between Strides (Album Review)

In Between Strides - Tracklist

1. Departure

4. Elisa

5. Return, Precipice

Simon Weinrich – guitar, vocals, Rhodes piano

Marc Dreher – drums, vocals, Rhodes piano

Review

Bees Made Honey In The Vein Tree return with their exquisite fourth album In Between Strides which will surely establish them once and for all as one of the most refreshing and essential modern day Psychedelic Doom/Post-Metal outfits the scene currently has right now. The band perhaps rely on a refreshing style of Ambient Metal unlike ever before with this release which allows them to construct the perfect musical gateway in delivering their sublime Post-Rock vs Post-Metal based structures.

Though, the band still build those Post-Metal foundations on a solid level of Psychedelic Doom Metal with moody Stoner Rock based measures which comes superbly well within the opening tracks of Departure and Respite. Bees Made Honey In The Vein Tree construct an epic cinematic narrative with their lyrical content and the haunting vocals that appear with a dedicated Alternative melody allowing the band to deliver sludgier instrumental sounds.

Some of the songs are quite fractured which reminds me of Pelican and Russian Circles in places but it’s the winning meditative energy that brings everything back together. With a free-flowing creativity matched only by the likes of ELDER and YOB, there’s always something unique, heavy and emotionally rewarding being played within every track.

In Between Strides allows Bees Made Honey In The Vein Tree to experiment with areas of Drone Rock, Shoegaze and Prog Rock which arrives on different parts of the album. The band even experimented with haunting piano melodies with both Simon Weinrich and Marc Dreher playing superb instrumental pieces on the Rhodes Piano.

The second track Respite is more of a Jazzy Post-Rock interlude which showcases a more caring and tender side of the band which is beautifully played and layered with small movements of Psych Rock and Spaced Out sounds. There’s a small glimmer of Drone appearing within the closing stages which allows the band to add a brief sense of gloom and hopefulness into the mix.

Third track Clutching At Straws sees the band return to that heavy Doomgaze world with echoes of Psychedelic Doom being the main focus with distorted sludgy rhythms developing into a modern Post-Metal sound. This is layered with choppy instances of Sludge and Drone with a harsh backdrop of Stoner Metal which is the heaviest part of the album and perhaps the band’s career to date. Everything feels like it is being destroyed before being rebuilt in a more peaceful and hopeful image when the uplifting Ambient Post-Rock melodies appear within the final moments.

The final two tracks of Elisa and Return, Precipice is a great combination of cinematic based surroundings which sees Bees Made Honey in The Vein Tree to further explore different areas of Doomed Out Heaviness with Elisa really hitting some hard-hitting emotionally charged movements. The vocals are excellent once more but it’s the progressive themes and technical sounds that capture the imagination especially from Marc Dreher (Drums) and Christopher Popowitsch (Bass) as they form a great understanding with that epic rhythm section.

This allows Lucas Dreher (Guitar) and Simon Weinrich (Guitar) to create world-expanding Cosmic based guitar passages which becomes more Space Rock dominated though still holding the band’s core instrumental sound. The vocals do become more depressing, bleak and ultimately destructive within the final track of Return, Precipice with music even transforming into a heavier blend of Blackened Post-Metal but with that sublime Post-Doom momentum still being heard within the background.

This is another album of the year from Bees Made Honey In The Vein Tree, as In Between Strides is the band’s heaviest, aggressive and most unique sounding record yet. The music is wonderfully precise, beautifully sweet and equally as destructive the next. The whole journey feels like one grand musical adventure which instantly draws you in with its sweeping romantic Doomed Out measures that will leave you in a tranquil state of being.

Exclusive Premiere Of Psych/Stoner/Space/Kraut-Rockers HIJSS New Song/Video for DOPAMINE From Upcoming Self Titled Album

From northern Italy's summits, through clouds and airplanes, a wall of sound spirals downhill as hijss marks it's birth. Stimulated by the musical instinct of the band's mastermind Lois Lane (guitar, vocals, electronics), Maurice's (drums) ferocious hits and Pan’s (bass & synth) catchy scales the music does not only scratch the surface but goes deep under your skin. The band puts genres in the background zapping from punk over wave to space and psychedelic rock. The outcome is a melting pot called: kosmo kraut. That means whatever you want it to mean...

BLACK SPACE RIDERS – New Album "Die 8" to be released on November 13th, 2026 / First single and pre-order online!

Four years after their last masterpiece „We Have Been Here Before“, BLACK SPACE RIDERS are finally back with their highly anticipated eighth studio album, "Die 8", arriving on November 13th.

Following the painful departure of founding member and second guitarist SLI, the band reinforced their lineup from within their closest circle: Their long-time audio engineer π, deeply connected to the band and already responsible for the recording and mix of the predecessor, stepped in as an additional guitarist, strengthening the sonic unit on the new album.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered in π's own recording studio, the new work — simply titled "Die 8" — bundles a fresh, untamed energy. It presents itself as a brilliant, eclectic bastard bursting with playfulness, ingenuity, and attention to detail. Molding the best of many genres and different decades into a sonic universe entirely their own, the band creates a soundscape that is psychedelic, heavy, danceable, sometimes tender, sometimes harsh — but always deeply atmospheric, urgent, fluid, and accessible.

Conceptually, the eighth album serves as the cartography of a creeping decay. It delivers the protocols of a relay station at the outermost edge — be it in a distant galaxy or within the digital and social networks of our here and now.

The band comments:

"In eleven frequencies, we navigate through a world where the boundaries between the human mind and algorithmic control are eroding. We encounter the noise of the masses, the arrogance of power, and the leaden silence of isolation. Yet amidst the dystopia, an echo stirs: a ritualistic resistance, a mantra against the cold, an attempt to preserve one's own dignity in the dust of history.

It's a play with the final eight minutes of light before the sun — or civilization — burns out on the horizon. Beyond the vast expanse, the end of time awaits: a rapturous, unstoppable uprising in lockstep, followed by the bitter realization of our own systemic inertia. But right there, where chronology finally breaks down and we look doom dead in the eye, the unexpected happens: The '8' bends into a horizontal infinity. Because the end of humanity is not the end of everything. The station sinks, everything dissolves into infinite energy — and a new cycle begins."

Open your eyes! What do you see?

Starting today, the video for the first single "Party Is Over (The Last Curfew)" is officially live:

The song fuses dark goth influences, post-punk, and heavy rock into a harsh soundscape with almost theatrical undertones. Set against the symbolic backdrop of a bell tower, a cynical doomsday scenario unfolds. "Party Is Over" functions as a critical commentary on a society that stubbornly ignores its own tipping point.

Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin Announce First New Music Since 2020 With Details Of Upcoming New Album

On October 2, 2026 Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin return with “ Bash ” , the first single from their self-titled sophomore album, due December 18, 2026  through Black Throne Productions. The new material brings the band’s reverb-heavy guitars and desert-road songwriting back into focus after more than five years away from their debut album “Misty Woman”.

Pre-orders for both the new album and the third repress of “Misty Woman” will open alongside the single.

The band’s sound sits somewhere between the open-road guitar work of The Ventures, the heavier side of Dead Meadow and the blues-inspired approach of All Them Witches. Spring reverb, roomy drums and guitars that leave some air around the notes are central to ACC’s formula. The surf-inspired songs are built for long drives, empty roads and getting away from town for a while.

Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin was formed in 2017 by Brennan Justice, Anthony DeFreitas and Jeremy Luvaas. After releasing Misty Woman, the three members dispersed and did not see each other face-to-face for more than five years. The band returned in late 2025 with their first repressing of “ Misty Woman”  through Black Throne Productions. The first repress sold out, leading to two additional vinyl runs and the first ever pressing of Mud Room #13 which included a previously unreleased bonus track “Narwhal”.

The new album was recorded and mixed by Brennan Justice at Camp Verde, Arizona, with mastering handled by JJ Golden. Its Southwestern setting is fitting for a band whose music has always been tied to California coastlines, desert roads, mountains and summer heat.

The band has already taken its music well outside Southern California. Their catalog has appeared in Shameless, Thrasher and Flip Skateboards projects, Vans-related events, several mountain-bike films and a placement in commercials for Indian Motorcycles. Additionally, Mud Room #13 was named one of El Coyote’s top EPs of 2019.

Bash “ arrives October 2, 2026 along with both pre-orders for the self-titled album and the third pressing of “ Misty Woman”.

BIO:

Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin is a San Diego-based psychedelic desert rock trio whose music blends reverb-soaked guitars, haunting melodies, and heavy blues-driven rhythms into a sound that evokes the dark California desert on a warm summer night. Formed in 2017 by Brennan Justice (guitar, lead vocals), Anthony DeFreitas (bass, vocals), and Jeremy Luvaas (drums, percussion), the band creates cinematic rock inspired by dusty highways, coastal sunsets, and the surreal landscapes of the American Southwest. Their name originated from a fictional 1970s murder mystery imagined during a late-night conversation, capturing the strange, mysterious, and heavy character that continues to define the band.

Emerging from the remnants of a surf-rock project, Justice and DeFreitas began recording in a San Diego garage with minimal equipment and a raw, lo-fi approach that prioritized creativity over polished production. Early releases including Cabin Fever and Mud Room #13 helped establish a sound influenced by Dead Meadow, The Ventures, and All Them Witches. With Luvaas joining on drums, the band's sound expanded into what would become its debut full-length, Misty Woman, recorded in Austin, Texas at Electric Deluxe Recorders with producer Adrian Quesada.

Now, Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin returns with its self-titled sophomore full-length album - the band's first full release of new music since Misty Woman in February 2020. Self-recorded by Brennan Justice in Camp Verde, Arizona and mastered by JJ Golden, the album is deeply rooted in the band's desert-rock identity while showcasing the melodic, cinematic, surf-influenced qualities that give Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin an audience beyond traditional heavy psych. The new record marks a long-awaited return fueled by continued demand from the band's worldwide fanbase.
