Doom/Stoner Metallers WITCHTHROAT SERPENT Announce New Album DEMONS LEFT TO ROAM And Premiere New Song/Video For CURSED NIGHT CIRCLE

Doom/Stoner Metallers Witchthroat Serpent return their new album DEMONS LEFT TO ROAM due out on October 09th 2026 via Heavy Psych Sounds.

About The Album

Recorded at the legendary Kerwax Studio by Christophe Chavanon on analog tape and gear, Witchthroat Serpent's new album “DEMONS LEFT TO ROAM” is yet another hymn to the last century’s sordid dreams and fears, moral panic and the creepy costumes from Halloween in the 30’s. Huge and gritty walls of guitars, rumbling stereo bass and plundering ritual drums. Songs of horror tales and satanic litanies, carried by haunted vocals.

Thanks to the amazing folks over at Purple Sage PR and Heavy Psych Sounds we're excited to premiere the epic new song CURSED NIGHT CIRCLE from their upcoming new album.

About the band

Witchthroat Serpent was formed in November 2011 in Toulouse, France to spread occult and powerful doom stoner across the living world's borders. The band has toured extensively in Europe, playing both underground shows and major scene festivals such as Hotsabbat and Sonic Blast. Exclusive Song Premiere Heavy Psych Rockers EALDOR BEALU Stunning New Single BURIED AT BOOTHILL From Forthcoming New Album

Hailing from the high desert of Idaho, progressive heavy psych quartet Ealdor Bealu was formed in 2015 by Carson Russel (Ghorot), Rylie Colingwood, Travis Abbott (Shadow & Claw) and Alex Wargo. With a focus on shifting dynamics from the ambient to the massive and back again, Ealdor Bealu's sound expands beyond genre boundaries. Over the past decade, Idaho's Ealdor Bealu has carved a singular path through heavy psychedelia, dark folk, and progressive metal, earning regional, national, and international praise across four full-length releases.

Their 2017 debut, Dark Water at the Foot of the Mountain, landed on several Album of the Year lists with its expansive, haunting 60-minute vision. The 2019 sophomore LP, Spirit of the Lonely Places deepened the band’s heavy psychedelic edge while retaining their atmospheric Western heart.

2022’s Psychic Forms (Metal Assault Records) pushed further into progressive metal, driven by the dynamic drumming of Michael Mulcock and the addition of husky, Americana-tinged vocals from Travis Abbott alongside the established voices of Carson Russell and Rylie Collingwood. It became the band’s most successful release to date, and Cameron Elgart (Crush the Monster) joined on drums shortly after.

Ealdor Bealu has consistently toured the Western US, playing Treefort Music Fest, Offbeat Music Fest, Crucial Fest, and others. The band celebrated their 2025 decade milestone with a career-spanning Treefort set, a two-week West Coast tour, and a performance at Portland’s Sound Castle festival.

We're excited to premiere the epic new song / video for "Buried at Boothill" thanks to the amazing folks over at Purple Sage PR and Ripple Music.

Exclusive Song/Video Premiere For Stoner Rockers RED SUN New Song DETAILS FROM THE PAST From Forthcoming New Album

Italy-based psych/stoner band Red Sun unveil 'Details from the Past', first single and video from 'Songs From Hidden Places', their upcoming album due for release on Subsound Records on June 19th, 2026.

A lilting, enveloping rhythm harks back to trip-hop, carried by Elisa Brusati's evocative vocals, while guitars, synth, and theremin weave in a psychedelic touch. The song speaks of unknown places explored despite a troubled state of mind — seeking safety in the unknown and in the power of the subconscious.

Exclusive Song Premiere Of Cinematic Doom/Post-Metallers BEWARE OF GODS New Song "OCEAN OF TEETH (HAUNTED BY THE GLIMPSE OF A WHITE LIGHT)"

Beware Of Gods is a cinematic sci-fi doom project created by The Archetype, merging crushing low-end heaviness with dystopian mythology, industrial textures, and philosophical storytelling. Drawing influence from Neurosis, Godflesh, ISIS, Ministry, and Swans, the project exists at the intersection of doom metal and speculative fiction — where albums unfold like films and songs function as chapters in a larger mythos.

Rather than focusing on genre alone, Beware Of Gods builds immersive worlds around its music, giving listeners something they can inhabit as much as hear.

This is the final chapter in the Upon Whom The Last Light Descends trilogy, Behead The Oracle completes a sprawling narrative about false prophets, algorithmic gods, and the collapse of meaning in a hyper-controlled future.

Musically, the album expands the project’s sound with heavier industrial elements, ritualistic rhythms, and vast cinematic atmospheres layered over massive doom riffs. The result is an emotionally devastating, visually driven record designed for both underground heavy audiences and fans of art-driven concept albums.

To get you into the mood for this complex, heavy and brooding album, we're beyond excited to premiere the awesome new song "Ocean of Teeth (Haunted By The Glimpse Of A White Light)" from the upcoming new album:

Exclusive Song/Video Premiere For Doom/Sludge/Stoner Metallers TONS Explosive New Song LOST IN PLANTATION

Your favorite weed sludgers are ready to come back with their fourth studio album, the aptly titled "Stoned Villains," out in April on your beloved Heavy Psych Sounds Records. The band's distinctive sound emerges immediately after the first listen: seven tracks of heavy, sulfurous doom-sludge, with influences ranging from the '90s to Turin-inspired hardcore punk, the scene in which our "villains" were formed and raised. Heavy and cutting guitars, a seismic rhythm section, and Gingerzilla's voice barking out ungraceful tales of weed abuse and uncontrolled eating. The song titles perfectly describe Tons: a band that doesn't take itself too seriously and uses irony as its strong point. "Stoned Villains" was recorded and mixed in Turin by Danilo "Dano" Battocchio at Deepest Sea Studio and mastered by James Plotkin. Enjoy!

Thanks to the cool folks over at Purple Sage PR and Heavy Psych Sounds, we're excited to premiere the superb new single LOST IN PLANTATION from the upcoming new album STONED VILLIANS.

TRACKLIST:

1. Shirley Temple Ball
2. Hangover The Top
3. Lost In Plantation
4. Intro (Cabin Fever)
5. The Big Bong Theory
6. Darth Vaper
7. Rollercoaster Diet Bombo

The Lowdown

Forged in 2009 by members of the Turin hardcore scene (The Redrum, Lama Tematica, NoInfo), Tons deliberately traded breakneck speed for a colossus-sized, slow-motion onslaught — sludgy-as-fuck, caustic and laced with wry weed wisdom and local esoteric mystique.

From their 2012 debut, Musineè Doom Session, Volume 1, to the punishing Filthy Flowers of Doom (2018) and the evil and acerbic Hashension (2022), Tons has never taken a single prisoner. The unstoppable foursome has shared stages with iconic acts such as Bongzilla, Unsane, Napalm Death and Church Of Misery, and relentlessly stormed festivals across the continent (Desertfest, Sonic Blast, Frantic Fest, Venezia Hardcore, HPS Fest).

Blasting forth with a new player behind the kit, Tons is ready to crank it up to maximum sludge levels again with their fourth album Stoned Villains, due out in the spring of 2026 and followed by a promotional Japanese tour in May.

The album was recorded and mixed in Turin by Danilo "Dano" Battocchio at Deepest Sea Studio and mastered by James Plotkin, with artwork and graphics by Steuso.

You can pre-order the album now on CD/DD/Vinyl via Heavy Psych Sounds

Biography

The Lords of Altamont bring forth raw rock and roll fury birthed from the ultimate end to the era of peace and love. What was billed to be the “Woodstock of the West “, the infamous Altamont Free concert on December 6th, 1969 was highlighted instead by heavy drugs , motorcycle chains and brass knuckles and later punctuated with shoving matches and fist fights. This palpable sense of bawdy foreboding resulted in four births, four deaths and extensive property damage.

While the hippies had been grooving and mellowing out in the Bay Area, the forefathers of the Lords of Altamont were playing high energy rhythms in the beer soaked venues of Detroit and the dingy clubs along LA’s Sunset Strip. Mid-60s London RnB shares equal space with the scruffy 70s NYC Bowery among the influences of The Lords also. They take their other cues from kids banging out primitive riffs on cheap guitars all across the USA in garages alongside chopped bikes and American v-8 muscle, lingering exhaust fumes mixing with sweat to conjure the rare elixir of real rock n roll.

The story of the band who would come to be known as The Lords of Altamont gets a proper start in late 1999. A son of Southern California and a veteran of the SoCal music scene, Jake Cavaliere - with numerous bands and projects from garage to punk dating back to the late 80s under his belt - enlisted fellow motorcycle rider and bandmate of the instro/surf sensation The Bomboras, Johnny DeVilla. Besides holding their first show at the legendary venue The Garage in Hollywood, high points include touring as the support act for their primitive rock n roll idols The Cramps, infamous rock gods The Who as well as counting the late Michael Davis of the MC5 as a past member.

Through personnel changes featuring an incredible roster of talent, and various adventures over the past 22+ years, The Lords of Altamont continue to evolve their sound while staying true to their roots. Jake Cavaliere , along with his assemblage of gritty and talented personalities, continues to captivate audiences with unparalleled hard driven performances the world over.

Exclusive Song/Video Premiere Of MONSTERNAUT New Single APPROACHING DOOM From Upcoming New Album

Approaching Doom is the third album by Monsternaut, a darker and heavier representation of the band’s established devotion to groovy riffs and to the point compositions. The songs took shape over several years, during which the arrival of a new drummer opened the door to more adventurous rhythms and riff ideas, pushing the band into new territory while staying true to their roots.

Sonically, the album leans toward the grit and weight of early 90s metal rather than polished modern production, giving it a raw and immediate edge. Its lyrics and atmosphere follow a naturally darker direction as well, adding an extra layer of tension beneath the grooves.

Recorded entirely the old fashioned way, straight to analog tape with no digital editing, it captures the band playing as they are, relying on performance, chemistry, and feel rather than correction. The result is a record that hits harder, feels more focused, and marks a confident new chapter in Monsternaut’s evolution.

To get you into the mood we're excited to premiere the song/video for their excellent new single APPROACHING DOOM thanks to the great folks at Purple Sage PR and Heavy Psych Sounds.

Biography

Monsternaut is a stoner metal trio from Finland, formed in 2012 by guitarist Tuomas Heiskanen and bassist Perttu Härkönen. Fueled by the grit of Fu Manchu, Corrosion of Conformity, and Down, the band deals in heavy grooves, hard hitting riffs, and hooks built for pure head banging. On stage, Monsternaut keeps it loud, tight, and straight to the point, delivering a high energy set with no filler.

After two early demos, the band released their self-titled debut in 2016 through Heavy Psych Sounds, followed by Enter the Storm in 2018. They hit the road across Europe and later crossed the Atlantic for shows in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, backing up their reputation as a live band worth witnessing.

Drummer Patrik Kuitunen joined after the second album, bringing new rhythmic fire and pushing the music toward bolder riff ideas. That momentum led to Approaching Doom, their heaviest album to date, recorded entirely on analog tape with no digital editing and capturing Monsternaut as they are: loud, raw, and locked in. Notable Finnish producer and sound engineer Anssi Kippo, known for his extensive work with Children of Bodom, also added valuable expertise to the sessions and strengthened the process. Set for release in 2026 through Heavy Psych Sounds, Approaching Doom shows the band tighter, darker, and more focused than ever.

Doom/Stoner Metallers LORD ELEPHANT Premiere New Song/Video For GIGANTIA From Upcoming New Album ULTRA SOUL

Lord Elephant are back with their second studio album "Ultra Soul", a psyched blend of 70's, 90's and 00's extravaganzas mixed together with the distinctive heavy breath of the band. Blues, doom and sludge are fused again in the strange trademark of the trio, allergic to genre-labels and ready to expand the vision beyond cages!

Recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio 73, Ravenna, by Riccardo Pasini (Nero Di Marte, Ephel Duath, Ottone Pesante..)

Artwork and Layout by JJ Farfante ArtLab (Melvins, Mudhoney, Ufomammut).

We're excited to premiere the stunning and superbly heavy new song GIGANTIA from their upcoming new album Ultra Soul thanks to the amazing folks over at Purple Sage PR and Heavy Psych Sounds.

The band say this about the song:

"The main inspiration for this track comes by the majestic sight of the ancient megalithic stones of Gigantia, located in Malta. The timeless feeling evocated by temples, stones and art, takes form in the heaviest tune of the album, a fuzzy slap that remembered us the filthy roots we came from. Written straight after the release of the first album, we think at it like a bridge between the two albums, containing relevant elements from both of them. Close your eyes and feel the primitive vibe of this enchanted magical place!"

Ultra Soul will be available to buy on CD/DD/Vinyl via Heavy Psych Sounds from January 30th 2026.

Exclusive Premiere Of Doom/Sludge Metallers BORN OF PLAGUES New Single & Video For "ANGELS OF FIRE" From Upcoming New Album

Playing a brand of chaotic, cathartic death-doom that is at once familiar and all their own, Born of Plagues is a four-piece metal band focused more on crushing heaviness than genre conventions. This group of Baltimore punk/hardcore/doom veterans has pedigree across scenes and styles and doesn’t back away from letting any of their influences bleed through, as long as the result is brash and heavy.

We're beyond to excited to premiere new song and video for Angels On Fire that you can watch below:

WHAT'S NEXT:

Born of Plagues continues writing new songs, with plans for another full length in the next year or two. The band has several fall/winter shows planned, including the “Dead Endings” release show in Baltimore in Nov/Dec. TROY THE BAND Herald the Arrival of Collaborative Second Album with New Single ‘POROUS’

London-based noise experimenters Troy The Band return this month with an amorphous blend of doom, shoegaze, and metal, releasing their first single since last year’s acclaimed album, Cataclysm.

Their highly anticipated sophomore record, titled (des), is due for release in 2026, and is heralded by the arrival of new single ‘Porous’ later this week, featuring vocals from former Dead Witches singer Soozi Chameleone. Enveloping listeners in a wall of sonic energy, it showcases Troy The Band’s mastery of monstrous riffs, soaring guitars, and commanding vocals.

After parting ways with their original vocalist shortly after recording, the band decided to transform (des) into a collaborative celebration of London’s underground heavy music scene, with contributions from artists including Elephant Tree, Believe in Nothing, Black Groove, Codex Serafini, Black Orchids, and more.

“Choosing the vocalists was simple,” explains bassist Sean Durbin. “We’ve been fortunate to play with so many incredible artists, and everyone we asked to contribute said yes. It was just a matter of sharing the tracks and letting them pick the songs that inspired them. Soozi was one of the first vocalists we envisioned for this project. Their powerful live performances are unforgettable and capturing that intensity on ‘Porous’ was a real thrill.”

Having spent much of the year performing across the UK, Troy The Band returned to Bear Bites Horse Studio in Haggerston recently to record the album with producer Wayne Adams (Gum Takes Tooth, Petbrick, Terminal Cheesecake). Working with different vocalists across the album, as well as making a permanent fixture out of long-time live drummer Jack Revans, was an enriching experience. Their new material pushes the band’s genre-bending sound into fresh, more diverse territories and is an evolution of the sound crafted on Cataclysm, while still feeling distinctly their own.

More news on the album will follow soon, as the band aims to release one track each month, culminating in a full physical release in 2026. For now however, stream and share new single, ‘Porous (featuring Soozi Chameleone)’ ahead of its official release on Friday 24th October.

Sean Durbin – Bass
Sean Burn – Guitar
Jack Revans – Drums

Mathcore/Sludge Metallers OLD DEER Premiere New Song/Video For MAELSTROM From Upcoming New Album.

Following their crushing 2024 debut EP of sludge, noise, and mathcore “Something in the Water”, Colorado quartet Old Deer return with a vengeance, pushing their sound to new extremities with first full-length “Someone in the House”.As the title suggests, there is danger within Old Deer’s latest work. An unpredictability of what new sonic violence lurks around the corner, be it the piercing saxophone hidden with “The Hatch”, or the pit-inducing madness and crush of “Take it All”.

Drawing from a wide swath of heavy sounds, the corners of “Someone in the House” hold notes of sludge, doom, and post-metal, woven into foundations of blistering mathcore, noise rock, and post-hardcore.

Chameleon vocalist Matt Conlee delivers harrowing, ear-shredding screams, weaponizing his vocal cords for visceral impact one moment before laying down deep, melodic cleans the next.

In similarly shape-shifting fashion, the guitars and drums reel between brutal hardcore pummel and dizzying, spidery progressions owing as much to jazz as to math and noise.

Old Deer have concocted a heady, frightening brew of dangerous sonics and ill intent on “Someone in the House”, and dare listeners to take refuge within. The LP drops November 7th, and first single “Maelstrom” will storm the gates on September 19th.

Exclusive Premiere Of Doom/Grunge/Stoner Rockers FISH HOOK SMILE New Song/Video For RATSTAR

"Ratstar”, the second single from Fish Hook Smile’s upcoming self-titled album, out August 20th via Glory or Death Records

On August 20, Fish Hook Smile returns with their second single, “Ratstar” - a track that refuses to look away from one of the harshest realities of our time: the humanitarian crisis of homelessness.

The single is part of the band’s forthcoming self-titled album, due out on September 5.

“‘Ratstar’ dives into the merciless world of homelessness, told through the eyes of someone society chooses not to see. It's a visceral cry for recognition and connection — a reminder that all of us are only one or two strokes of bad luck away from living the same fate.” - Fish Hook Smile

Built on suffocating atmosphere and unflinching lyrics, “Ratstar” captures the weight of marginalization — the empty pockets, the systemic neglect, the fight to maintain dignity. Sonically, the track delivers sharp distortion, a throbbing low end, and vocals that shift between anguish and restrained fury.

The track paints a bleak, brutally honest portrait of homelessness, told from the eyes of someone long ignored by society. With gritty textures and lyrics that ache with lived experience, “Ratstar” demands empathy - and warns how fragile the line is between stability and collapse.

This is not just a political message. It’s a deeply human one - one that demands to be heard.

Fish Hook Smile emerged from the vibrant alternative scene of St. Louis in the 1990s, blending influences from grunge, punk, and alternative rock with raw, biting lyricism. Known locally for their intense live shows and visceral sound, the band gained underground momentum before dissolving, without ever releasing a full-length record.

Fish Hook Smile was a St. Louis band that was originally formed in 1991 by Jason Busiek, Dan Policarpo(guitar) and Ken McCray(drums). In the Summer of 1991, Misha Avrushenko, Matt Lake and Bryan Pollard joined the band. Although he wasn't originally in the band, Matt Pekny was at damn near every practice and show in the 90’s and was a natural fit for 2nd guitar. These songs were written by Jason Busiek, Matt Lake, Misha Avrushenko, Bryan Pollard and Dan Policarpo. Although Dan is not on the recording, he was a major player in the formation, writing and the overall honing of this sound and we are forever grateful for his contributions

Decades later, members of the original lineup reunited, unearthing unreleased material and channeling the same urgency that defined their early years. Now spread across different cities but still driven by a shared creative fire, Fish Hook Smile returns with renewed purpose and sharpened vision.

This year, 2025, they joined forces with Glory or Death Records to release their long-awaited self-titled debut album digitally. Slated for release on September 5, the record is preceded by two blistering singles: “Shiver” and “Ratstar” - with lyrical manifestos confronting authoritarianism and the brutal realities of social invisibility.

Fish Hook Smile is not just a comeback. It’s a scream that never died.

Exclusive Song/Video Premiere Of Heavy Blues/Stoner Rockers MALKASIAN New Song THE LONG PIG

We're happy to premiere the new song/video THE LONG PIG from Heavy Blues Rockers Malkasian which is from their upcoming new album which you can listen to below:

The Lowdown

Heavy Blues Album Description

FFO - Queens of the Stone Age, Pride and Glory, Clutch “Heavy Blues” is the feeling.

The genre is a second order issue.

Heavy

1. of great weight; difficult to lift or move
2. of great density; thick or substantial Burdensome

“Heavy Blues” is more despondent and apathetic. Yearning to feel something when you haven’t been able to feel at all.

This record attempts to honor the essence of the blues while embracing grit, chaos, and indifference to conventions like the heavy alternative scene. It was made because it had to be, “just because....” Tropes about “being born under the blood red moon” and other cliches won’t cut it. The words and feelings are for here and now.

It's heavy influenced blues.

The thought with “Heavy Blues” is blues influenced by heavy alternative rock. Emo blues...even if only by intention, not aesthetic. This blues is more overtly dark, lamenting, melancholy, insouciant, frustrated and affected."

Members

Sean Malkasian - guitars and vocals
Jordan Bettner - drums
Sam Rucker - bass
Dave Rosenberg - harmonica

Doom/Stoner Rockers BORRACHO Premiere New Song/Video For SUCCUBUS From Upcoming Album OUROBOROS

Stoner Rockers Borracho are set to deliver yet another sonic journey with the release of the upcoming LP Ouroboros. Thematically, as the title suggests, the band’s sixth album explores the ancient alchemist concept of continuous transformation as applied to contemporary social ills. Track by track, Borracho take up consequential issues like mental illness, authoritarian brutality, automation, and the corruption of culture and paint a picture of humanity eating itself. And luckily for everyone, these tales are told with the kind of blistering, face-melting riffs the band has become known for. After the last two albums’ musical exploration into psychedelia, on Ouroboros, Borracho are saying it's time to rock!

Thanks to the great folks over at Purple Sage PR and Ripple Music we're beyond excited to premiere the new song/video for SUCCUBUS which you can watch below:

Exclusive Song Premiere Of Instrumental Doom Rockers THE LONG HUNT New Song ASSIDUOUS GNAW

The Long Hunt is a three-piece instrumental doom, drone, heavy-psych band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The group is known for blending sparse minimalism and textured drones with hard-hitting guitar riffs and memorable melodies. The music is both adaptable and dynamic, able to shift in volume and mood at a moment’s notice. With live shows often accompanied with samples, lights, and projected images, the band strives to create an immersive experience for the audience.

The band are releasing their new album Natural Order on Friday 18th July 2025.

We're excited to premiere the new song Assiduous Gnaw from the upcoming new album which you can listen to below.

Assiduous Gnaw: The name is a reference to inescapable unrelenting forces. Time, wind and rain will eventually grind even the mightiest of mountains into dust. A meditation on impermanence and a surrendering to the ultimate will of the universe. The song hits especially hard live, with the warbling vibrato and delay-drenched guitar giving way to the muscular, octave fuzz chorus. I feel it takes people by surprise every time. To me the song is a nice marriage of post-metal, light prog, and stoner-doom. I'm especially proud of the guitar solo, which utilizes some interesting scales and moderately intricate hammer-on/pull-off techniques." - Trevor Richards / The Long Hunt

Personnel:

Trevor Richards: Guitar
Allison Kacmar Richards: Bass
Mark Lyons: Drums
