Doom/Stoner Rockers MELT Release New Live Performance Video For Song SKELETON GIRL From Their New Album Replica Of Man

Ahead of their massive Replica of Man vinyl release celebration on Dec. 1, the new "Skeleton Girl" music video from mind-expanding Doom/Stoner Rockers MELT is available for your viewing pleasure below:

Here's the scoop on the video

Taking a very different turn from the theatrics of their "Diviner" video, "Skeleton Girl" features a live performance from the members of Melt filmed in a dingy Pittsburgh garage by local media company, Finesse Films. The members are accompanied by the titular "skeleton girl," played by Pittsburgh's own Cat Lady Cabaret, as she performs ominous light and fire dances — leading up to the song's climax in which she literally breathes fireTo make the video even more personal, the lyrics across the screen are handwritten lyrics in (bassist and lead vocalist on the track) James May's own handwriting.

"Skeleton Girl" is written and vocally performed by Melt bassist James May and fittingly so, is a heavy bass feature. Building to an epic ending in classic Melt fashion, the song shares characteristics with the work of modern stoner metal acts like Sleep, while the unique, slow riff hearkens back to heavy rock in the vein of Rage Against the Machine.
