Review

Swedish Psychedelic Doom/Stoner Metallers Domkraft were another band invited by Magnetic Eye Records to perform at the Day Of Doom Festival. Day Of Doom Festival is explained better below:

Magnetic Eye Records invited our four flagship bands to perform at our DAY OF DOOM label showcase, a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of our premier bands on the same stage.

Each performance was carefully captured to be issued as an exclusive live album to commemorate the event and the first decade in business of Magnetic Eye Records.

One of my favourite discoveries from the Magnetic Eye Records label. Ever since I heard their 2016 debut full length album – The End Of Electricity. Domkraft drew me in with their heavy ans splendid blend of Psych Rock, Doom Metal, Sludge Metal and Stoner Metal with a world-weary Cosmic/Spaced Out sound driving everything along.

These guys have perhaps released the most impressive set for myself personally of the 4 Live Albums that have been released. Domkraft are bang-on point performing a collection of their well-known songs with aggressive precision that draws you in from the very start.

The album contains songs from albums that have been released via Magnetic Eye Records and you are treated to some genuine favourites such as The Rift, Through The Ashes, Meltdown Of The Orb and Landslide being played to a very cool and lucky audience in attendance at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York.

Domkraft play to their strengths on this Live Performance and the atmosphere is ELECTRIC with heavy guitars and superb vocals leading the way. The ambient soundscapes the band uses on their albums sounds great on the live stage though with a raw presence which did take some time to fully get used to.

The performance lasts for 48 minutes and the production is excellent from start to finish. This will make you feel being at the actual concert itself with the raw-sounding atmosphere being one of the best parts of the whole experience.

Domkraft played a fantastic set and the evidence is here with this thrilling and superb Live Album from one of Sweden’s best upcoming Doom/Stoner Metal bands.
