Review:

Tangled Horns 2nd album – Unstoppable Force – may seem a straight forward album when you listen to it for the first time. Lurking underneath is an album that's brimming full of different ideas that merge Noise, Stoner, Sludge and Grunge based riffs. It has a few shades of 90s Alt Rock/Metal as well but for the most part Unstoppable Force is a highly confident album packed full of exciting moments.

The album flows along quite quickly with great vocals courtesy of Tim who is superbly supported from the rest of the Tangled Horns gang. Opening tracks – Momentum and Unstoppable Force gets the mood moving along with conviction and purpose with heavy grunge based noise driven riffs. It firmly remains in the Doom/Stoner genres but you're treated to some sludgy moments during later parts of the album.

The lyrical content whilst good for the most part, could have done with more work on other parts of the album, though that won't spoil you're overall enjoyment of the album. The album truly comes alive on the two part opus – Megalith Part 1 and Part 2 but their kept apart by a two minute number called Discharge

This would have been better if both songs were put together for one epic song or if both parts followed each other. Discharge is a still very good song in it's own right. Overall, Unstoppable Force is a superb album and shows Tangled Horns are worth investigating if you haven't heard of them before. Excellent and Highly Recommended.
