Greek heavy rock trio Fuzzing Nation are proud to announce their first German live appearances with OPERATION MOTHERTRUCK: DRONES OVER GERMANY TOUR 2026, a five-date co-headline run with Germany's Last Bølt Ceremony.

Following the release of their debut full-length album Mothertruck via Argonauta Records, Fuzzing Nation will bring their heavy, groove-driven sound to Germany for the first time, taking their signature blend of massive riffs, fuzz-drenched guitars and desert rock attitude to five stages across Solingen, Münster, Köln, Oberhausen and Bremen.

Formed in Athens, Greece, Fuzzing Nation have quickly built an international presence within the heavy rock scene, receiving attention from the European underground press and expanding their audience beyond their home country. With Mothertruck, the band continues their journey of delivering powerful live performances inspired by the timeless spirit of heavy rock.

Joining them for the entire tour are Last Bølt Ceremony, a Dortmund-based trio bringing their own distinctive mix of stoner, grunge and alternative rock. After more than a decade, progressive psychedelic rock heavyweights ELDER are finally heading back Down Under. The band has announced a string of Australian headline dates for May 2027, joined by special guests KHAN. Tickets are now on sale via www.beholdtheelder.com

The announcement arrives as ELDER continue their busy 2026 schedule, currently performing at major European summer festivals before embarking on an extensive North American headline tour this September, with BASK and BLACKWATER HOLYLIGHT joining the band on selected dates. Following a run of European shows with TEMPLE FANG and REZN in early 2027, ELDER will finally make their long-awaited return to Australia, bringing material from their acclaimed new album Through Zero alongside fan favourites from across their ever-evolving catalogue.

Formed in 2011 by guitarist and vocalist Jeffrey Owens, Goya's 2012 demo showcased their early potential, but it was their debut full-length "777" (2013) that announced their fearsome arrival in the doom underground. With sprawling, riff-heavy compositions and occult-tinged lyrics, "777" resonated deeply with fans of titanic sludge-metal. Continuing to evolve, Goya released "Obelisk" in 2015, a concept album that refined their blend of psychedelic doom. They followed this with their magnum opus, 2017's "Harvester of Bongloads", another concept album that leaned as heavily as ever into their fuzz-laden, riff-driven aesthetic and further cemented their legacy of unrelenting doom and immersive sonic landscapes.

Their fourth album "In the Dawn of November" was released in the spring of 2025 via New Mexico-based label Blues Funeral Recordings (Acid King, Lowrider, Dozer). Recorded at Soundhouse Studios in Seattlewith legendary producer Jack Endino (High On Fire, Year of the Cobra, Soundgarden), "In the Dawn of November" lays down a monolithic work of graveyard grooves and bleak reflections to herald their towering return with their most accomplished and unwaveringly bone-crushing record to date.

Unique Heavy Psych Project MONKEYS ON MARS - with Monkey3 & Mars Red Sky - to unleash new music video "Hear The Call".

French-Swiss supergroup MONKEYS ON MARS - gathering all the musicians from psych/prog bands Mars Red Sky and Monkey3 - have unveiled their 13-minute music video Hear The Call.

The project is kicking off an extensive tour this month. All dates but France below.

Directed by Seb Antoine, new video "Hear The Call" is made up of images taken from the movie 'Time Machine' (1960) and live footage shot by Seb Antoine and Antoine Duclos at Westill Festival in France on October 2025. We find ourselves immersed in an apocalyptic, retro-futuristic, and slightly offbeat World, which will serve (among other things) as a setting for a series of live shows.

On stage, three bands will be performing during 2 hours: Monkey3, Mars Red Sky and Monkeys On Mars. What to expect? A Mars Red Sky show featuring Monkey3, followed by a Monkey3 show featuring Mars Red Sky, followed by the Monkeys On Mars show. Mars Red Sky and Monkey3 will be kicking off the night randomly as Monkeys on Mars will always be closing. No break!

The Lowdown

MONKEYS ON MARS is more than a simple collaboration, it is a bold fusion of two heavy psych/prog forces. Self-titled EP delivers two expansive space-prog journeys, clocking in at 11 and 13 minutes. The music perfectly blends their dreamlike yet dark soundscapes. Monkey3 bring kraut-infused effects and convincing heavy riffs to Mars Red Sky's tortured melodies. 

All carried by a pachydermic rhythm section: two drums, two basses. “Seasonal Pyres” showcases the crystalline voice of Mars Red Sky's frontman Julien Pras while “Hear The Call” is entirely instrumental. 'Monkeys On Mars' was recorded by Guillaume Desboeufs (Monkey3) at The Missing Link Studio (Lausanne, Switzerland) and Benjamin Mandeau (recording and mix) at Cryogene Prod Studio (Bègles, France). Mastering by Alexis Bardinet at Globe Audio Studio in Bordeaux, France.

New album "Forever Loaded" - Out April 10th on Heavy Psych Sounds (LP/CD/digital)

The Lords Of Altamont bring forth raw rock and roll fury birthed from the ultimate end to the era of peace and love. What was billed to be the “Woodstock of the West“, the infamous Altamont Free concert on December 6th, 1969 was highlighted instead by heavy drugs, motorcycle chains and brass knuckles and later punctuated with shoving matches and fistfights. This palpable sense of bawdy foreboding resulted in four births, four deaths and extensive property damage.

While the hippies had been grooving and mellowing out in the Bay Area, the forefathers of the Lords of Altamont were playing high energy rhythms in the beer-soaked venues of Detroit and the dingy clubs along LA’s Sunset Strip. Mid-60s London RnB shares equal space with the scruffy 70s NYC Bowery among the influences of The Lords also. They take their other cues from kids banging out primitive riffs on cheap guitars all across the USA in garages alongside chopped bikes and American v-8 muscle, lingering exhaust fumes mixing with sweat to conjure the rare elixir of real rock n roll.

The story of the band who would come to be known as The Lords Of Altamont gets a proper start in late 1999. A son of Southern California and a veteran of the SoCal music scene, Jake Cavaliere - with numerous bands and projects from garage to punk dating back to the late 80s under his belt - enlisted fellow motorcycle rider and bandmate of the intro/surf sensation The Bomboras, Johnny DeVilla. Besides holding their first show at the legendary venue The Garage in Hollywood, high points include touring as the support act for their primitive rock n roll idols The Cramps, infamous rock gods The Who as well as counting the late Michael Davis of the MC5 as a past member.

Through personnel changes featuring an incredible roster of talent, and various adventures over the past 25 years, The Lords of Altamont continue to evolve their sound while staying true to their roots. Jake Cavaliere, along with his assemblage of gritty and talented personalities, continues to captivate audiences with unparalleled hard-driven performances the world over.

The Lowdown

HOWLING GIANT take another huge step on their third full-length "Crucible & Ruin", a collection of sparking ideas, captivating melodies, and heavy riffing close to perfection - quite a feat of on-point songwriting for such a still young band!

This is the band's first album to feature new fourth member Adrian Lee Zambrano. Although the guitarist and synth player arrived somewhat toward the end of the writing process, he was still able to add his mark with cool textures on the record. The extra guitar certainly adds even more punch to HOWLING GIANT's sound, which delivers a slightly more aggressive approach compared with predecessor "Glass Future" (2023).

It also helped the overall feel of "Crucible & Ruin" that this is the band's first album to be entirely recorded in a proper studio setting as opposed to their home studio, "the bunker". HOWLING GIANT even leaned into some raw band live takes to capture the emotion in the room.

Lyrically, "Crucible & Ruin" explores the story of the clash of a novice deity against the forces of primordial chaos as an overarching theme that loosely connects the songs. This is also reflected in the album artwork, which was painted by the mother of guitarist and vocalist Tom Polzine, featuring a unique style of alcohol ink on yupo paper.

HOWLING GIANT hail from Nashville, Tennessee, USA, sidestepping the self-proclaimed Music City's assembly line of modern pop country while taking inspiration from the brilliant songwriters and virtuoso session players that keep the town's musical legacy burning bright. Fertile ground for a preeminent fuzz-psych power trio, now turned quartet, who consciously live in the pocket of that lineage!

Following a trilogy of EPs, "Howling Giant" (2015), "Black Hole Space Wizard: Part 1" (2016), and "Black Hole Space Wizard: Part 2" (2017), HOWLING GIANT struck a chord with critics and fans on their debut full-length "The Space between Worlds" in 2019. "Glass Future" proved a gargantuan leap for the band that now featured Sebastian Baltes, son of legendary ACCEPT bass master Peter Baltes. Released in 2023, "Glass Future" brought their outstanding musicianship and triple vocal attack fully into stride.

HOWLING GIANT storm forward once more in defiant refusal to remain still. Having grown into a four-piece as well as in their prowess as musicians and songwriters, "Crucible & Ruin" is an album at least as big as their name. Don't take our word for it, just give it a spin – or two or three...

The Lowdown

FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS are not just any band within the wider musical cosmos of heavy rock and stoner metal. Artistic excellence, reflected in the two Grammy wins of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Buick Audra as well as the status of drummer and bass player Jerry Roe as one of the most sought after studio percussionists, paired with outstanding lyrical intelligence have once again flown together organically to shape their forthcoming album "BEAR".

"BEAR" was written around the realisation that Buick Audra had essentially been kicked out of womanhood. This album is a documentation of her awareness also while cataloguing other areas of human connection: art, outsider culture, and dark rock venues – all places where empathy and creativity grow wild. Audra and Jerry Roe arranged and performed the fourth full-length of FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERSalbum to have two sides to it, musically: heavy and light, salt and sugar, fire and air, and lost and found.

Although hailing from Nashville, Tennessee these denizens of the 'Music City' kindly beg to differ. FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS' sound draws from sludge, doom, heavy metal, and grunge with roots in punk and hardcore, among other guitar driven styles.

FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS were originally conceived as a side project by the two industry veterans Buick Audra and Jerry Roe, whose accolades have already been mentioned above. When the duo found common ground, they were able to bring all their combined musical excellence, perspectives, precision, and power to their new band.

Their early works, the EPs "GARFIELD" (2015) and "JUNEBUG" (2017) as well as the debut full-length "AVE" (2016) were all self-recorded as well as self-produced in their own studio, Fort Knockout, and supported live with regional tours.

FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS' sophomore album 'BILL' (2018) was co-produced by the band with Steve Albini and engineered at his Chicago studio, Electrical Audio. Working with Albini proved a pivotal experience for the duo, both personally and professionally. "BILL" reached a notably larger audience and allowed national touring. Following Albini's passing in 2024, the band released his original analogue mixes of the project, "BILL- The Steve Albini Mixes".

Although the duo's members maintained other ventures, FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS had developed into a focal endeavour for them both. Their again self-produced 2020 EP, "HOLD ON TO YOURSELF", was the beginning of their by now years-long collaboration with Kurt Ballou, who mixed the record. He also mixed their self-produced pandemic-era singles "STONECHILD/ YOUR REIGN IS OVER" (2020), "ALTAR / LAND OF MEN" (2021), and "AND IF MY BODY" (2022). These were later compiled on a limited vinyl release entitled "RELEASE OF THE REST" (2022). The singles also marked a departure from the duo's previous punk and hardcore leanings while introducing a heavier, sludgier sensibility.

FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS recorded and co-produced their third album "MASS" again with Ballou at his GodCity Studio in Salem, MA. Audra recorded and produced her vocals at her Nashville studio, and Ballou then mixed the tracks. With "MASS" (2023), a concept album about memory, language, and the state of Massachusetts, the duo took the important next step of reaching a global audience.

"BEAR" was again co-produced by band members Buick Audra and Jerry Roe. The duo returned to Salem to work along once more with their longtime collaborator, Kurt Ballou, who also tracked the instrumental performances and mixed the record. As a result, the songs with a huge range of musical ideas and expressions are unified in sound as well as in theme, which runs throughout the record in various ways: the ever-elusive idea of belonging, where it occurs, and where it absolutely does not.

With "BEAR", FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS present a rare sparkling gem of an album, heavy yet captivating, shiny yet dark, and songs that brim with important meaning. "BEAR" is easy to get into, but beware, this album will draw its listeners into fascinating and thought-provoking depths!

Cult Heavy Blues Rockers HERMANO (with ex-Kyuss John Garcia) to issue Hellfest live album on Ripple Music this February 6th 2026

California's heavy blues titans HERMANO (fronted by iconic Kyuss vocalist John Garcia) announce their new live album "Clisson, France" this February 6th on Ripple Music and present a first video with the roaring single "Left Side Bleeding". The announcement comes with news of a European spring tour, including festival appearances.

About the upcoming Hellfest 2016 live album, guitarist Dave Angstrom enthuses: “We were honored to be invited to perform at Hellfest 2016. It had been several years since we all had been in the same room, let alone had the chance to jam together—and it was an incredible experience. Being with my closest friends in France, connecting with the amazing audience, and having the opportunity to spend time with my family while experiencing the magic of Hellfest is a memory I will always cherish. Capturing that first Hellfest experience for Hermano on vinyl is special, serving as a reminder of the strong bond, love, and friendship I share with John, Chris, Mike, and Dandy. I’m a lucky man. Recording albums and touring when they wanted to since their formation nearly three decades ago, Hermano has always consistently refused to operate on anyone’s schedule other than their own. Lured by the repeated calls of their devoted fans, though, the band first reunited for a stirring performance at Hellfest in Clisson, France, in the summer of 2016. Eight years removed from their last live performance, they arrived in Clisson with time to rehearse through their material for a couple of hours before taking the stage. In what has been hailed as the most thrilling set of the 2016 edition of Hellfest, that evening the audience witnessed a band hitting on all cylinders, a performance so energetic and seamless that those in attendance were in awe that the band had not performed together since 2008.

Captured on both audio and video, "Clisson, France" promises to be one of the most magical and significant live releases of 2026. It will be issued on limited LP edition, CD, and digital format on February 6 through Ripple Music, as well as on DVD through the band's channels.

Not ready to stop there, encouraged by the fervor of fans across the globe, Hermano has booked their first extensive tour in over a decade for the spring of 2026. For both old and new fans of the band, these shows will offer a rare and unique opportunity to experience one of the most influential and thrilling groups in the heavy blues genre.

The story begins twenty-eight years ago in a second-floor apartment in Covington, Kentucky. The details are of a band that never was... Some already know the story. They remember the first time they heard about Hermano, the whispers of a super-group that had tracked an album backed by Frank Kozik and set to be released on Man’s Ruin Records. When Kozik’s label closed shop before the album could be released, those who knew of the project waited through nearly four years of hurdles and contractual obligations to be cleared before they could hear an album that not only lived up to its promise but also established itself as one of the most influential heavy blues (aka stoner rock) collections ever recorded.

Hermano first formed when David Angstrom (Supafuzz), Steve Earle (Afghan Whigs), Mike Callahan (Disengage), and John Garcia (Kyuss) agreed to lend their talents to the session that Dandy Brown had scheduled for December 1998. Coming together for the first time in Cincinnati, the initial riffs that Brown had constructed were arranged by the newly formed group and would become the foundation for the band’s debut album, Only a Suggestion.

Over the next decade, Hermano would go on to release three studio albums (Only a Suggestion, Dare I Say and Into the Exam Room) and a live record (Live at W2) showcasing the force the band had become in the heavy blues market. Embarking on a series of now-legendary sold-out live performances in the United States and Europe, Hermano continued to grow a legion of dedicated fans and critical acclaim. Following the European tour in support of their debut album, Steve Earle’s departure to pursue his solo project opened the door for veteran drummer Chris Leathers (Supafuzz) to step in during the band’s performance at FestiMad in 2004. Performing on the next two studio albums and their live release, Leathers' addition to the group cemented another chapter in the friendships established during the band's formation six years earlier.

With wind in their sails after their iconic 2016 Hellfest performance, and with the acquisition of full ownership of their entire catalogue, Hermano committed to sonically updating their albums through remixing, remastering, and reissuing their three studio albums and live material with San Francisco-based Ripple Music. The first in the series of reissues, Only a Suggestion, was made public in the fall of 2023, drawing tremendous reviews for the band’s updated blues rock masterpiece and giving their devoted fans a delicious first taste of what is to come over the next few years.

Seizing the energy of finally having an open window of opportunity, Hermano issued their first new material in over fifteen years with the release of When the Moon Was High in 2024. Featuring previously unreleased material from their Only a Suggestion sessions, live tracks, and the new single "Breathe", the band stepped back into the fray with overwhelmingly positive reviews, culminating with their stellar headline performance at the 2025 edition of Hellfest.

GREENLEAF announce new European live dates for November 2025

GREENLEAF have released a string of European shows for November 2025 that will lead the Swedish heavy rockers mostly to Romanic language areas this time round. After warming up for their tour at home at the Broken Dreams in Borlänge, Sweden on November 8, 2025, the official musical proceeding will kick off at the Feierwerk in Munich, Germany on November 21. GREENLEAF will continue to detonate stages via multiple concerts in Switzerland, France, and Spain until the final curtain falls at the Grillen in Colmar, France on November 30.

US Desert Metallers BLUE HERON share thunderous Clutch cover off new "Emulations" record on Blues Funeral Recordings; European tour starts this week!

US desert rockers BLUE HERON share a scorching hot new video with their raucous cover of Clutch's "The House that Peterbilt", taken from their new record “Emulations”, out this October 10th through Blues Funeral Recordings and coinciding with the start of their first European tour ever!

Their new release "Emulations" was conceived in early 2025, as Blue Heron prepared to record their rendition of the Nine Inch Nails classic "Head Like a Hole" for the forthcoming Magnetic Eye Records compilation "Best of NIN Redux". Pairing four new studio tracks — including sledgehammer covers of Clutch, Floor and Fudge Tunnel — with live recordings from a session at Albuquerque's KUNM radio station, this seismic new offering from the mighty foursome is an unrelenting charge of gritty vocals and punishing riffs that simply takes no prisoners.

About covering this Clutch classic, vocalist Jadd Shickler comments: "When we decided to record some cover tunes, this one was a no-brainer. We've been playing it live for years, and Chav and I are Clutch fans going way back. Surrounded by endless horizons, Blue Heron formed in 2018 out of a compulsion to fill the vastness with massive volume, saturating their piece of desert with rolling, thunderous riffs, drums that pummel and swing, deep, thrumming tones and vocals that rip and roar.

Their guitarist and singer were founding members of Spiritu, possibly Albuquerque, New Mexico's first desert rock band, whose brief burn in the early aughts included a Jack Endino-produced LP, a European tour with Clutch, Spiritual Beggars and Dozer, and a compilation appearance alongside Entombed and Mastodon. Their debut LP "Ephemeral" arrived in May of 2022 via Kozmik Artifactz in Europe and Seeing Red Records in the USA. Substantial appreciation in the underground led to performances at Ripplefest Texas and Monolith on the Mesa and opening slots for The Well, Elder, Black Mountain, Ruby the Hatchet, Howling Giant, Heavy Temple and The Obsessed, along with a swath of positive reviews throughout the heavy media.

In May 2023, Blue Heron dropped three new tracks on a split LP with friends and fellow southwestern riff-purveyors High Desert Queen for Ripple Music’s Turned to Stone series, with cover art by award-winning comic and poster artist Johnny Dombrowski. The bands embarked on a short tour in August 2023, before they set to work on their next full-length.

Released in the fall of 2024, their last album "Everything Fades" expands on their unyielding desert sound with a new slab of propulsive, sun-scorched riff-heaviness. It landed at #6 on Worship Metal's 50 Best Stoner and Doom Albums of 2024, #8 on The Obelisk's Best of 2024 Year-End Poll, and #13 on the Doom Charts Top 100 Albums of 2024. The record was described as "rooted in the mood and verve of the High Desert" by Doomed & Stoned and "an emotionally charged and truly breathtaking style of down-tuned weedian magic" by Outlaws of the Sun.
