Exclusive Song/Video Premiere Of Heavy Rock/Stoner Rockers MASHEENA New Song GOING TO THE MOUNTAIN From Upcoming New Album

From the land of midnight sun comes a new force of nature: Masheena. Recorded amidst the sun-scorched landscapes of Austin's Hill Country with renowned producer Machine (Clutch, Lamb Of God, King Crimson), the follow-up to their 2023 debut "West Coast Hard Rock" is heavier, more versatile and packed with soulful, vocal-driven hooks. Marrying the melodic-centered vision of Scandinavian hard rock with a bluesy, southern-crisp flavor and a healthy slab of fuzz, "Let The Spiders In" is a distilled shot of pure stadium-tailored heavy rock. Ten tracks poised to break hearts and rattle cages that should win over fans of Spiritual Beggars, The Parlor Mob, Rival Sons, Orchid and Dozer.

It will be co-released on April 10th by Majestic Mountain Records (Europe) and Ripple Music (North America and world).

Dutch Stoner/Desert Rock Act DITCH Reveals Details of New Album “The Traveler”; Watch The Visualizer for “Everyone I Know”!

The Hague-based stoner/desert rockers DITCH are proud to announce that their new effort, entitled “The Traveler”, will be released on February 14th via Dark Skies Coming. The album, available as digipak and orange marbled vinyl, will feature 9 brand-new tracks for the fans of Kyuss, Vista Chino, Fu Manchu, Clutch, and Black Sabbath!

A visualizer video is online for the song “Everyone I Know” – watch it now!

Pre-order “The Traveler” on Bandcamp: https://bit.ly/4a9jZF8

After almost 2 years of hard work DITCH has completed its first full-length album since the release of the critically acclaimed debut “Boca Do Inferno” (2014). An album containing 9 tracks written and fine tuned over the last few years, turned into a dynamic and diverse collection of songs. Sometimes hinting to the kings of 90’s stoner rock, but always with a modern and unique twist and a prominent style of their own. Huge, pounding drums, massive fuzz-heavy guitars, and roaring bass, complete the wall of sound many listeners crave. Yet there’s also room for dreamy, space-y segments, plus a variety of tempos. 40+ Minutes of what stoner rock/stoner metal is all about!

In the last 14 years DITCH stormed stages in several countries to spread the word of its fuzz heavy wall of sound with tons of desert groove. They were able to share the stage with fellow stoner enthusiasts like Komatsu (NL), Candybar Planet (NL), 1000Mods (GR), Belzebong (POL), Monster Truck (CAN), Five Horse Johnson (USA), God-sized (UK), The Grand Astoria (RU), Hemplifier (MT), Witch Piss (BE), Baardvader (NL), and Atomic Vulture (BE). The debut album “Boca Do Inferno” caused quite a stir, and the space rock instrumental closer of that album, “One Way Trip to the Sun”, has turned into a bonafide online cult hit with 3.3 million streams on Spotify and even more on YouTube in the last couple of years. In 2021 the band returned to the fray with a brand new EP, “Coldfoot, Alaska”.

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Hans Pieters / The People’s Noise. Additional backing vocals by Luuk Penterman & Marjan Welman. “Jabba Speech” by David Dressen.

This is the definitive tracklist of “The Traveler”:

1. Jabba (6:22)
2. Everyone I Know (3:06)
3. The Traveler (7:14)
4. Destruction Derby (3:23)
5. Year of the Pig (5:44)
6. The Bloody 9 (5:01)
7. Pod Racing (3:29)
8. Broncola (revisited) (3:46)
9. Desert Sun (3:09)

European stoner rock pillars LOWRIDER and ELEPHANT TREE share new single off "The Long Forever" split album on Blues Funeral Recordings.

Swedish stoner rock pioneers LOWRIDER and UK psych-doom royalty ELEPHANT TREE share their new single "Through The Rift" on all streaming platforms today. Their widely anticipated collaborative album "The Long Forever" will be released on October 25th via Blues Funeral Recordings.

Elephant Tree and Lowrider's collaborative album "The Long Forever" is easily one of the most eagerly awaited split releases in heavy rock history. Arriving in the wake of their landmark 2020 releases, "The Long Forever" finds both bands at critical junctures: each has a broad and expanding influence, each is revered onstage and off, and each is about to deliver its first proper new music in four years to tremendous anticipation.

About the making of the song "Through The Rift", Lowrider frontman Peder Bergstrand recalls: “When Elephant Tree put their vocals on it, Jack sent me a text: ‘Singing on this reminds me of sitting on my mate’s shed in the sun when I was like 17. So hopeful and pretty'. It hit me right in the feels, because they just get it. That text, and this song, is exactly why we are doing this split album together. Through the Rift was written when I was falling in love with Elephant Tree and their last album 'Habits' at the height of the pandemic. It matched that time so well: calm and crushing at the same time, and endlessly emotional. Having since become friends and also having them sing backing vocals on it, is more full circle than I can describe with words”.

Watch the official visualizer for "Through The Rift"  + listen to the song on all streaming services

"The Long Forever" takes its title from the nickname Elephant Tree singer and guitarist Jack Townley gave to the multi-week coma he was kept in for medical reasons following a near-fatal biking accident in early 2023. Dreaming without waking and losing all sense of time as his mind attempted to process and cope with the ordeal, that lyrical description can only hint at the enormity of Jack’s experience. And yet, the year or so that followed manifested a musical freedom in the bands’ respective approaches. Lowrider has grown more complex and expressive, while Elephant Tree has chosen a rawer, set-up-the-mics-and-go approach. "The Long Forever" is the vehicle through which the bands meet, subverting and superseding the expectations on them, with a traumatic nexus as the gravitational singularity around which the entire LP orbits, bending and shaping every note that escapes forth.

Stress, trauma, time, gravity, sound, joy, catharsis and texture all find a place across the record’s 43 minutes, but what resonates is the stridence with which Elephant Tree and Lowrider meet at the convergence of timelines and complement each other in evolving listeners’ ideas of who they are. In the end, perseverance, healing and stubbornness of passion are what made "The Long Forever" a reality. We invite fans to listen with open minds and love in their hearts...

About Elephant Tree

Formed in London in 2023, Elephant Tree has spent the past decade delivering their heavy, melodic sound to audiences across the international scene with their 2016 self-titled album winning praise from critics and fans alike. Early 2019 saw the band enter The Church Studios to deliver their third album 'Habits' (2020) with engineer and producer Riley MacIntyre (The Horrors, Thurston Moore, Adele) at the helm — an ambitious, emotion-driven journey made of spacious yet heavy-as-ever soundscapes, a scintillating blur of prog, psych, and melodic heavy rock.

2020 was, as foreseen by the clear-sighted, the year they bloomed out of best kept underground secret into a household name, making it to the top of year-end lists and making an appearance on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show as well as reaching number 14 on the Official Charts Rock & Metal and number 25 on the Official Charts Indie lists. After a series of acclaimed festival performances across the UK and Europe, all band activities were unexpectedly put to a halt in the winter of 2022 after frontman and guitarist Jack Townley was severely injured in a bike accident. Elephant Tree is now set to release their anticipated split record with Lowrider on October 25th via Blues Funeral Recordings.

About Lowrider

As the preeminent band out of the gate in the late 90s post-Kyuss wake, Lowrider's debut EP and seminal album 'Ode to Io' were foundational slabs at the dawn of stoner rock. The swinging metal offshoot grew quickly into a worldwide phenomenon, with Lowrider established as one of its undeniable trailblazers. Following those early releases with a handful of compilation and soundtrack appearances and a period of relative inactivity, the band re-emerged at DesertFest Berlin in 2013. They've since blown minds at Hellfest, Keep it Low, DesertFest London and Belgium, Stoned from the Underground and Up in Smoke, and issued expanded remastered versions of their original records.

All that was left was to give the world something new. Released in early 2020 through Blues Funeral Recordings, their long-awaited sophomore album 'Refractions' explodes with all the churning fuzz and expansive riff-heaviness for which the band are beloved, shot through with re-energized purpose and maturity. All throughout the year, "Refractions" has garnered high praise from international press, being awarded "Best Album of 2020" on Magnet Magazine, Metal Hammer's staff lists, The Obelisk, Doom Charts, as well as being featured on top of numerous end-of-year lists such as on Metal Injection, Rock & Folk Magazine, New Noise, Invisible Oranges and Guitar Part Magazine.

THUNDERBIRD DIVINE Reveal Official Visualizer For "Times Gone Bad" From Upcoming New Album LITTLE WARS

Drawing predominantly from the worlds of stoner rock and psychedelic, THUNDERBIRD DIVINE provide a heavy fuzz-filled sound in "Times Gone Bad". The track is taken from their forthcoming album, Little Wars, set for release on August 30th, 2024 via Black Doomba Records and is now accompanied by an official visualizer available below:

"Times Gone Bad" showcases THUNDERBIRD DIVINE's signature sound, blending dense, overdriven riffs with mesmerizing, trippy undertones. The single is a testament to the band's ability to evolve while staying true to the raw, heavy roots that have garnered them a loyal following.

THUNDERBIRD DIVINE's Little Wars promises to be an epic journey through sonic landscapes, characterized by its rich textures and powerful compositions. The album is expected to resonate with fans of stoner rock and psychedelic music, offering an immersive listening experience.

“The process of creating music has to be organic, and it has to come from a sincere place devoid of fear,” says Erik Caplan, the band’s guitarist/vocalist. “At least, that’s what works best for this band. So I find it essential to trust my co-creators and have them trust me. We have to be willing to wander into curious musical rabbit holes together just to see what we might find. I think we did a lot of that kind of stuff with this album, but the foundation of the entire effort is songwriting. That has to be solid. If you don’t have good songs at the core of your album, adding funky textures is an exercise in pointlessness. And I think we’ve covered that base as well. These feel like good songs to us.”

“Our recording process was very involved,” Caplan says. “We demoed every song in our rehearsal space, sketching out all of our ideas from the ground up. We took those basic demo tracks and embroidered them back at Josh’s (bassist Josh Solomon) studio. We threw a lot of sounds at those demos, and we started getting a strong idea of what worked best to our ears.

“Nothing was off limits. For example, if I said, ‘I think I can hear a sitar in there,’ the response was almost always ‘OK, let’s hear the part you have in mind.’ It’s inspiring to work that way.”

About THUNDERBIRD DIVINE:

THUNDERBIRD DIVINE comprises four Philadelphia musicians who came together in March of 2017 to collaborate and create riff-heavy psychedelic/stoner/doom in the spirit of artists like MONSTER MAGNET, HAWKWIND, FLOWER TRAVELLIN' BAND, THE MC5, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD and many others. Named after the street moniker of a homeless Vietnam veteran from vocalist/guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Erik Caplan’s childhood neighborhood, the band formed after the dissolution of two long-term Philly stalwart acts, WIZARD EYE (Caplan) and SKELETON HANDS (drummer Mike Stuart). Keys man Jack Falkenbach appeared out of the ether to join up in 2019, and highly experienced engineer and bassist Joshua Solomon came along just as THUNDERBIRD DIVINE parted ways with its original bassist, Adam Scott (also of SKELETON HANDS) in 2022.

Magnasonic, THUNDERBIRD DIVINE’s first release, appeared on Salt of the Earth Records (CD) and Interstellar Smoke Records (vinyl) in 2019, and its follow-up, The Hand of Man, was also released on CD by Salt of the Earth Records in 2020. The band also released a single recording of THE YARDBIRDS' "Happenings 10 Year’s Time Ago" in the same year. Since 2022, The outfit have released recordings of "Crazy Horses" by THE OSMONDS and "I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More, Babe", by BARRY WHITE, both given the band’s signature quirky imprint.

THUNDERBIRD DIVINE is:

Erik Caplan: Vocals, Guitar, Theremin, Sitar, Banjo, Harmonica, Synth, Drones, Weird Stuff
Michael Stuart: Vocals, Drums, Percussion
Joshua Adam Solomon: Vocals, Bass, Guitars, Synth, Percussion
Jack Falkenbach: Vocals, Keys, Violin, Melodica

Italian Psychedelic Sludge/Doom Metal Trio UFOMAMMUT Shares “Kismet” Visualizer From Upcoming New Album - Hidden

Italian Psychedelic Sludge/Doom Metal Trio UFOMAMMUT Shares “Kismet” Visualizer From Upcoming New Album, Hidden,Due Out On May 17th Via Neurot Recordings/Supernatural Cat!

Kismet” is the sprawling new single from Italian psychedelic doom/sludge metal trio UFOMAMMUT, celebrating their 25th Anniversary in 2024. With an animated video that just exclusively premiered at Cvlt Nation, the song is the latest preview of the band’s tenth LP, Hidden, nearing May release on Neurot Recordings/Supernatural Cat Records.

Hidden marks a shift in UFOMAMMUT‘s musical composition, aiming for a more intense and heavy sound, as they have displayed over the prior two releases. The title, Hidden, reflects the concept of the presence of everything in our existence and the ability to bring to light what lies within us. With Hidden, the band delves into a sonic journey that traverses vast expanses of space and time. From the crushing heaviness to the hauntingly melodies, from the textured compositions to the otherworldly atmospheres, Hidden testifies to the never-ending evolution of UFOMAMMUT and their mastery of creating immersive sonic experiences: a fitting celebration of their 25 years of sonic exploration and experimentation.

Like any good psychedelic trip, the music of UFOMAMMUT has always been inextricably intertwined with visual art, and as always, the artwork, videos, and all visuals/graphics for Hidden were created by Malleus Rock Art Lab, the rock/music graphic design collective of which Poia and Urlo are part of with Lu. Hidden was recorded at Flat Scenario Studio in Piemonte, Italy, with Lorenzo Stecconi handling the mixing and mastering, and Luca Grossi overseeing vocal tracking.

The band reveals, “‘Kismet’ represents the divine destiny predetermined by God for us, it embodies the concept of fate and what lies ahead for us. ‘Kismet’ is one of the most profound tracks on the album, delving into the journey of life itself. Like cascading waterfalls reaching for the sky, or droplets ascending towards the sun only to dissipate into the vast universe, our existence moves steadily through time, emanating light and energy that permeates our surroundings. This song encapsulates the essence of the album, distinct from Fenice, which is characterized by monumental riffs yet infused with ethereal atmospheres that redefine our yearning for psychedelia.”

Cvlt Nation writes, “Their riffs are so trippy that listening to this song feels like a sonic shroom trip taking root inside of my brain. UFOMAMMUT are so much more than a doom band, they are a creative unit focused on manifesting mind-altering soundscapes that transcend sound itself.”

Watch UFOMAMMUT’s Malleus-animated “Kismet” video now streaming here:

Hidden will be released on CD, LP, and digital on May 17th, in North America through Neurosis’ Neurot Recordings, the vinyl pressed on a Silver Nugget variant in a gatefold jacket. In Europe, the band’s Supernatural Cat Records will release it, a standard version on 180-gram Marbled Purple And Black variant, and a limited version of 500 copies on 180-gram Crystal Clear variant crafted by hand using photosensitive colors that are activated by sunlight, bringing the concept of the album to life, with multiple bundles and options.

Find US preorders/presaves at Neurot Recordings HERE
and EU preorders at Supernatural Cat HERE

UFOMAMMUT will be touring regularly in support of Hidden, with a long list of tour dates already announced across Europe and the UK through all of May and into June, with much more being plotted. See the current 25 Years Anniversary Tour listings at the band’s website HERE and stand by for updates.

Rising from the ashes of their prior band Judy Corda, UFOMAMMUT formed in the late 1990s by Poia and Urlo (bass, vocals, effects, synths), together with Vita (drums). With Levre taking over on drums in 2021, the band has undergone a rebirth, culminating in the release of the 2022-released Fenice LP, and on Halloween 2023, the Crookhead EP.

Over the course of two-and-a-half decades, UFOMAMMUT has developed a unique sound that combines heavy, dynamic riff worship with a deep understanding of psychedelic tradition in music, which has resulted in a cosmic, futuristic, and technicolor sound that fully immerses listeners. They’ve produced a wide spectrum of albums, EPs, live albums, a box set, compilation tracks, and covers – including a track on the Superunknown Redux Soundgarden tribute album.

Sludge/Stoner Metallers TROY THE BAND Release Visualiser/Lyric Video for FLESH WOUND From Upcoming New Album CATACLYSM

Cataclysm, the debut full-length album from London-based Doom-gaze four-piece Troy The Band, will be released on Sweden's Bonebag Records on February 2nd 2024. Since the release of their debut EP, The Blissful Unknown, Troy The Band have become mainstays in the London heavy music scene, with a list of accolades in 2023 that includes appearances at Desertfest London, Masters of the Riff, and Stoomfest, as well as a craft beer collaboration with East London's Old Street Brewery.

With Cataclysm the band have taken the most unique elements of their debut EP and forged them into an album that blends elements of Stoner-Doom, Post Rock, Shoegaze and Heavy Psych. Cataclysm is dark, heavy, and identifiably their own.

For this album the band went back to work with Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse studio in East London. From the band's point of view, this was a no-brainer: "We knew we wanted to work with Wayne again on this album. He's great to work with and he had an important hand in shaping the sound of our EP. We knew he would get what we were trying to do with this album, and we really couldn't be happier with how it has turned out."

Each track is built from a sturdy foundation of Sean Durbin's bass riffs which are then overlaid with Sean Burn's distinctive guitar playing and Craig Newman's unique and ethereal vocal style, adding layers of harmonic complexity and tension that is a defining feature of their sound.

The album title is derived from the name the band gave the initial demo of the title track, driven by its musically jarring feel rather than its lyrical content. It was then self-consciously adopted as the album title to reflect their aim of causing a musical upheaval in the heavy music scene. We believe it will.

We are quite excited to premiere the new visualiser/lyric video for FLESH WOUND which is also my favourite track from the upcoming album Cataclysm due out on February 2nd 2024.

The band say the following about the song:

"This is the first song we wrote together after recording our EP and it has been a staple of our live set since our earliest shows.

The first time we played Flesh Wound live it was the second to last song in our set. So when we announced that the next song would be our last and someone in the crowd yelled out “just play more of that riff again!” We knew we were on to a winner.

We love it because it captures our sound so well, from the dynamics of vocals and instrumentation to the tension and release in the arrangement. When the song reaches its climax, there is a feeling of catharsis both lyrically and musically."

Cataclysm will be available to buy from Bonebag Records from February 2nd 2024.

Doom/Stoner Metallers Void Commander Release Visualizer For New Song "Blood Red Knight Alright" From.Upcoming New Album BRKNA

After the success of their third album "River Lord," Void Commander, known for their searingly heavy and riff-driven fuzz worship are back with a second single from their upcoming album "BRKNA" from Majestic Mountain Records.

Here's the visualiser for Void Commander's "Blood Red Knight Alright."

The band brings us a wickedly trippy, stripped-back romp through a dark and shadowy night of the soul and stomping out of the Void Commander camp comes their latest single, " Blood Red Knight Alright." An apocalyptic traipse into a heady, riff-driven expression of malcontent walking the thin lines between sanity and oblivion, bass player Lee Noose tells us "This song is about losing all control and.slipping in and out of reality. The riff came to us at rehearsal and the.song was finished on the spot, it's one of the last songs we wrote for our upcoming album."

A wildly surreal and jammy groove section bounces through the darkness closing out the track with a strange sense of "devil may care" which adds a bit of levity to the proceedings and beckons us to follow along for more on the Void Commander saga as we await their next release with great anticipation.

More information to come about their new album "BRKNA," stay tuned
