NEUROSIS x FIREKEEPER ALLIANCE Short Film Created By Young Voices Of The Blackfoot Nation Featuring “We Are Torn Wide Open” And “Mirror Deep” Premiered As Fire In The Mountains Gathering Begins

Watch the FIREKEEPER ALLIANCE x NEUROSIS short film now playing HERE.

FIREKEEPER ALLIANCE is proud to present an original short film created in collaboration with the legendary NEUROSIS, bringing together their music, storytelling, and young voices of the Blackfeet Nation.

At the heart of the project is the extraordinary work of filmmakers Jason Nix and Bobby Cochran, whose vision, creativity, and unwavering dedication transformed an ambitious idea into a powerful cinematic experience. Through countless hours of travel, filming, editing, and collaboration, they captured not only the breathtaking landscape of Blackfeet country, but the spirit of the people who call it home. Their artistry is a visual testament to the strength and power of this community.

The production also reflects the remarkable contributions of four amazing Browning Public Schools students who were deeply involved throughout every stage of the project. These incredible students served as actors, production assistants, location support, creative collaborators, and storytellers, working shoulder-to-shoulder with professional filmmakers and musicians. Their creativity, commitment, and lived experiences helped shape each aspect of the film, making it an authentic expression of youth leadership and community collaboration.

The film is set against two emotionally powerful tracks from NEUROSIS’ An Undying Love For A Burning World – “We Are Torn Wide Open” and “Mirror Deep.” It tells the story of four young people from Browning confronted by a malevolent spirit, expertly played by the wildly creative Sim Schildt. Rather than facing this darkness alone, these protagonists ultimately confront the entity and find strength through connection and a sense of belonging, demonstrating FIREKEEPER ALLIANCE's core belief that our greatest protection against suicide can be one another.

Director and founder of Firekeeper Alliance Charlie Speicher states, “The film serves as both an artistic collaboration and a reflection of FIREKEEPER ALLIANCE's mission to reduce suicide by strengthening the protective factors that sustain life. Through authentic human connection, we believe hope grows stronger when we stand together. This project represents what is possible when internationally respected artists, visionary filmmakers, educators, students, and the Blackfeet community unite around a shared purpose. We are deeply grateful to NEUROSIS, Jason Nix and Bobby Cochran; our student participants - Haley Running Crane, David Fast Buffalo Horse, Reb Pollock, and Paul Medicine Horse; "dark entity" Sim Schildt; Larry Ground and Lee Little Mustache, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. We hope this film reminds viewers that even in our darkest moments, we are never meant to walk alone. Keep the fire burning.”

NEUROSIS’ Steve Von Till adds, “We are humbled and honored to have our music associated with the mission of FIREKEEPER ALLIANCE and deeply moved by the collective work of tall involved. We have always believed that this emotionally intense underground music has provided us with a sense of purpose, community, and has been a creative outlet to help us make sense of our place in the world. We stand with FIREKEEPER ALLIANCE in their mission to build connection, celebrate resilience, and strengthen protective factors against suicide.”

Stoner Rockers Superseed Release New Single Release and Album Pre-Order For Tremor on Friday 2nd May 2025

Bristol rockers Superseed sign to Savage Magic Records (Mondo Generator, The Chuck Norris Experiment, The Hip Priests) and declare their new single ‘Stand Your Ground’ and album preorder will be available from Friday 2nd May 2025 via the link below:

https://superseedrock.bandcamp.com/ for UK/EU orders

https://savagemagicrecords.bandcamp.com for US/ROW orders.

Come join the hard rockin’ hook hustlin’ head shakin’ riff lords as they carve a pathway through time and space to bring you their sophomore album ‘Tremor’ this autumn 2025.

Superseed Bio

Superseed crashed into existence in Bristol, England in early 2017, a four-man juggernaut fuelled by the twin-engine roar of singer-guitarists David Edgar and Ben Taylor. Backed by the thunderous pulse of Matt Colley on drums and Keith Bowers’ bass laying down a filthy groove, this hard-rocking wrecking crew delivers a sonic gut-punch that demands attention.

Weaving a gritty tapestry of hard rock muscle, garage-punk snarl, post-punk edge and a stoner fuzz haze, Superseed channels the raw energy of MC5, the desert groove of Queens of the Stone Age, the doom of Black Sabbath and the snarl of the Sex Pistols into a sound that’s all their own: massive riffs, killer hooks, and melodies that stick like napalm.

Since their self-titled debut album Superseed dropped in 2019, they’ve torn up stages across the UK, leaving a trail of sweat-soaked gigs and festival triumphs. Their singles have roared through the airwaves, scoring spins on Planet Rock, BBC Introducing, Total Rock, Primordial, and beyond, earning them a global cult following. Now, Superseed is gearing up to unleash their next beast, Tremor, via Savage Magic Records in the autumn of 2025. Cooked up in their DIY garage studio, Freq Factory, this album promises to crank the intensity to eleven and solidify their reign as face-melting rock renegades.

Inspired by 90's Rock - Grunge/Alt Rockers Mad Sneaks releases new single "Biocide"

Inspired by 90's rock Mad Sneaks releases new single "Biocide" - The trio has previously worked with producers Jack Endino and Toby Wright, who helped shape the sound of Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.

Mad Sneaks, formed by Agno Dissan, Amaury Johns and Phill Andreas, continues to consolidate its sound identity inspired by 90s rock. With a visceral energy and influences that range from grunge, stoner and alternative rock, the band has been building a remarkable trajectory in the underground scene.

The trio has worked with Jack Endino and Toby Wright, legendary producers who helped shape the sound of bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Korn and Slayer. In addition, Mad Sneaks also had a special guest appearance by Page Hamilton (Helmet) on one of its tracks, reinforcing its connection with iconic names in world rock. On stage, the band has performed at festivals such as PMW (Palmas), GoiΓ’nia Noise and even opened for Red Fang in SΓ£o Paulo.

Now, Mad Sneaks is starting 2025 with a series of releases, starting with the single "Biocide", a track that perfectly captures the essence of the group. The song was born from a spontaneous process: "I was practicing the guitar, testing some fingerings, and this intro came to me by accident. From there, everything developed naturally and in a fun way. Since we like a noisy sound, the second part of the song instinctively took a faster and heavier path. This contrast creates a very interesting sound experience for the listener", says the band.

Interestingly, "Biocide" was originally written to be the last track on the album, but the band's singles release strategy allowed them to bring forward the song, one of their favorites to play live. "We're looking forward to releasing it soon and for the audience to connect with it even more at the shows," the band members say.

The cover art for "Biocide" also has a curious story. The central image is a lizard photographed by Agno Dissan over 15 years ago. "It had been dead and dry for a long time, but its position created an optical illusion, as if it were smiling. The contrast of the image goes very well with the theme of the song, so we decided to combine both pieces of art," he explains. The final montage was done by Amaury Johns, who is responsible for most of the band's covers.

Portland’s Meditative Doom Seekers BREATH Sign with Argonauta Records

Portland, Oregon’s meditative doom seekers BREATH have found a new home with Italy’s Argonauta Records! Their sound is a cultivated vehicle of stillness, riding the churning white water of doom metal flow. Beginning with a solid foundation of bass and drums, the duo is joined by keys and guitar, with collaborator Rob Wrong of Witch Mountain engineering the project, ushering in a new dawn of verdant growth.

Known for their immersive and transcendent take on doom metal, BREATH crafts a sound that merges meditative stillness with crushing sonic waves. They draw inspiration from bands like Earth, OM, Grails, as well as the timeless influence of Black Sabbath and Ravi Shankar.

Founded by childhood friends Steven O’Kelly and Ian Caton, BREATH evolved from years of collaboration as an inseparable rhythm section. This bond led them to explore their own unique voice. Their debut album, Primeval Transmissions, was originally released in 2021 via Desert Records, featuring the masterful engineering of Rob Wrong (Witch Mountain) and mastering by the legendary Tad Doyle. Wrong also contributed guitar work to key tracks, including Halls of Amenti, which was re-released in a remixed and remastered edition in 2023.

With an expansive musical vision that blends high-decibel doom, hypnotic Eastern influences, and dynamic rhythmic textures, BREATH has continued to evolve, incorporating Lauren Hatch on keys in 2023 and Justin Acevedo on guitar in 2024.

Now, as they embark on the next chapter of their journey with Argonauta Records, BREATH is ready to bring their unique sonic meditations to a global audience. Stay tuned for more details on their upcoming releases!

Doom/Stoner Metallers DUST PROPHET Unleashes Gritty New Single "Written In Holy Blood"

Stoner and doom metal quartet DUST PROPHET have returned with a searing new single, "Written In Holy Blood," pulling listeners into a gritty, riff-heavy soundscape that perfectly captures the darkness of the genre. The Manchester-based outfit, known for their intense, apocalyptic musical and lyrical themes, takes a no-holds-barred approach with this latest release.

"Written In Holy Blood" was originally recorded for DUST PROPHET’s debut album One Last Look Upon the Sky (released in January '23), but was ultimately left off due to space limitations. Now, re-recorded to reflect the band's evolving sound and their growth as a four-piece ensemble, the track is being released as a standalone single. This marks the first taste of the band’s forthcoming EP, which will feature reworked tracks and B-Sides from One Last Look Upon the Sky, showcasing the dynamic new energy brought by guitarist Jason Doyle.

"Written In Holy Blood" is a raw, powerful track that grips from the first note. It channels thick, distorted guitars, thunderous bass, and pounding drums that coalesce into a sonic assault of pure doom metal. The track’s abrasive energy and haunting atmosphere showcase DUST PROPHET's ability to blend crushing heaviness with apocalyptic, prophetic vocals. With lyrics that explore the darker elements of biblical myth and human suffering, the band continues to delve into themes of destruction and doom. Fans of BLACK SABBATH, KYUSS, and CLUTCH will revel in the track’s sheer weight and unrelenting drive, as DUST PROPHET pushes the boundaries of gritty, hard-hitting stoner doom.

The new single serves as a bridge between the band’s critically acclaimed debut album and their future projects. The forthcoming EP of reworked tracks will showcase the expanded lineup, adding new dimensions to their already powerful sound.

About DUST PROPHET

Formed in 2020, DUST PROPHET is a rising force in the stoner and doom metal scene, blending heavy, distorted instrumentation with deeply apocalyptic and thought-provoking lyrical content. Drawing inspiration from humanity's fragile existence and the looming specter of doom, their music is a gritty, raw exploration of the darker aspects of life. The Manchester, New Hampshire-based band pulls influence from genre-defining giants like BLACK SABBATH, KYUSS, ELECTRIC WIZARD, TOOL, and CLUTCH, creating a unique sound that merges 70’s psychedelic drug rock with down-tuned, riff-focused metal and hypnotic rhythms.

DUST PROPHET began as the project of longtime friends and musical collaborators Sarah Wappler (bass/keyboards) and Otto Kinzel (guitar/vocals), who sought to craft a sound that reflected their shared love of heavy music and apocalyptic themes. Joined in 2020 by Tyler MacPherson (drums), and most recently by Jason Doyle (guitar), the band quickly shifted into high gear, writing and recording material that would soon make waves in the metal community. Kinzel’s lyrics are deeply influenced by classic literary works such as Paradise Lost and the writings of gothic authors like Flannery O’Connor and Ray Russell, as well as apocalyptic biblical imagery. These elements combine to create songs that are not only heavy in sound but rich in storytelling.

2023 was a landmark year for DUST PROPHET, as they released their debut album, One Last Look Upon the Sky, on January 27th to widespread acclaim. The album debuted at #13 on the Doom Charts for January '23 and garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews from major outlets including Decibel Magazine, Metal Injection, and Outlaws of the Sun. The band’s apocalyptic vision, combined with their heavy riffs and powerful stage presence, earned them a growing fanbase across the stoner and doom metal communities.

In addition to the album’s success, DUST PROPHET spent much of 2023 and 2024 touring extensively across the Northeastern United States and at high-profile festivals such as The Maryland Doom Fest, New England Stoner & Doom Fest, and RPM Fest. Their powerful live performances and relentless touring schedule have solidified their place as one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands in the genre.

As DUST PROPHET continues to evolve and expand their sound, they are well on their way to taking the stoner and doom metal world by storm — assuming the world doesn’t end first.

DUST PROPHET is:

Otto Kinzel – Vocals
Sarah Wappler – Bass/Keyboards
Tyler MacPherson – Drums
Jason Doyle – Guitar

Details About Doom Metallers COBRANOID Upcoming Debut Album

Cobranoid has their first album coming out on Friday August 16th 2024 and I am so stoked for these guys. A hard-working Denver band, they have been honing their songwriting and performance skills for the last few years on the excellent Denver Stoner Doom scene, making a name for themselves and making new fans each time they hit the stage. I've seen Cobranoid quite a few times over the last few years. These guys always bring so much energy to their live performances. They are a straight forward, hard rocking, speed doom (their term) metal-as-fuck band. a powerful power trio, they literally make you feel the rock pounding through your chest when you're in the crowd. Now, finally, they have brought this powerful mix to the studio. Turn this up and check out some Cobranoid!

Cobranoid is Kyle McKeeman (vocals, guitar) Logan O'Connor on bass and Kevin Wylie on drums. These guys generously shared 3 tracks from their upcoming album and damn, all three are absolute high energy rippers. Here's my thoughts on the tracks:

NES. I'm immediately thinking damn. Heavy as FUCK. Kyle's vocals are raw and this song was recorded with a lot of intense energy. It starts off with a punch before a quick descent into heartfelt guitar riff and followed with sorrowful feeling harsh vocals. This song feels wonderfully dramatic and would perhaps be the epitome of what Cobranoid means by calling themselves "Speed Doom". Great heavy tone. Doomy but not oppressive. the drums are sharp and I like where they sit in the mix, providing excellent depth to this track in particular. it's a ripper, a super fun ride!

Flesh and Bone is the first single that has been released. Speed doom indeed! Crunchy guitars, pounding drums and deep bass propelled by semi growly vocals. Flesh and Bone is super hard driving, crushing METAL. This song is seriously metal as fuck, with a growl along chorus, headbanging riffs and guttural deep fills from both guitar and drums. Like so many great songs in this genre, Flesh and Bone gives one that Mad Max apocalyptic feel...more Road Warrior than Furiosa, this is gritty number and has a flashbacky, sepia toned feel to it. It's hot and raw and gritty.

Cobranoid describes themselves as Speed Doom and it's fitting. Their sound is reminiscent of High on Fire; Cobranoid blazes a galloping trail of riffs, charging forward straight into the void. The introspective interlude shows some maturing songwriting skills an adds inserting drama to what is a already complex track. There is story telling amongst the heavy riffs and this is a moody, horror driven doom song. Faster riffs kick in at the end of Flesh, the speed in speed doom prevailing as the song breaks from the darkness and runs off into a more trashy riff driven finale. It's a pretty amazing 6 minutes, seeming both longer and shorter than that time - in a way that makes me want to put it on repeat.

The last track I got to hear was Hyena. Hyena howls, mofos! It's a hard, straight up kick-your-ass rocker here y'all. I love the heavy heavy kick ass drumming on this one. Kyle's galloping guitars and bass and tough sounding vocals once again set a hard rocking tone. This stuff right here is battle jackets and engineer boots my friends. This is hard Denver rock that doesn't fuck around. Consider doing some yoga neck stretches before this little ditty cause your head with be rocking. Kyle's guitar tone hear is amazing. The recording captures the intensity of the amplification, and is mixed very well, showcasing all the players and placing the vocals in the proper place in the presentation.

This band has just gotten better and better since I saw them a few years ago. The first time I saw Cobranoid live they played a dirty version of Just Got Paid Today (ZZ Top). They reminded me of Wo Fat a little bit. Maybe I just felt like that after hearing them cover that song and it skewed my perception. These songs sound different in a great way. More thrashy and traditionally metal than I remember seeing them (just my opinion of course) and I love it. These songs are rippers, and I encourage everyone to check out the new single and definitely get this album on pre-order.

Psychedelic Swamp Rockers Mister Earthbound cover James Gang's "The Devil Is Singing Our Song"

The brainchild of guitarist Walter Gray, Mister Earthbound originally emerged after its founder returned to his hometown of Richmond, Virginia in 2016 armed with a pocket full of riffs and a drive to hit the road with a new project. Named as a homage to Napoleon Hill's book "Outwit The Devil", the quartet rapidly established themselves in their region and beyond as pioneers of a new breed of swamp rock, and have been captivating a diverse and growing fanbase ever since.

Building on the foundations laid by influences from the trippy tones of the 13th Floor Elevators and the raucous early days of Pentagram to the eerie blues of Robert Johnson with a psychedelic, doom-tinged approach, Mister Earthbound’s signature blend of searing riffs, haunting vocals, and driving rhythms transports audiences to the depths of the swamp both through their studio recordings and their electric live shows alongside sonic titans like Dead Meadow, Kadavar, Weedeater, YOB, and Black Mountain.

ABOUT THE TRACK:

The next chapter in the Mister Earthbound story begins with a cover of the legendary James Gang and their track "The Devil Is Singing Our Song", off the classic "Bang" album. Putting their own spin on the tune while staying true to its old school roots, the band give it a tasteful dose of heavy with soulful, bluesy vocals and firey guitar leads, honoring their forefathers while carrying the rock 'n roll torch into the swamps of the future.

WHAT'S NEXT:

With a host of achievements already under their belt, including the release of their debut record "Shadow Work" via Kozmik Artifactz and a feature in Embassy Skateboards' "Winter Warriors", Mister Earthbound's momentum is at an all-time high as they prepare for their biggest undertaking yet: releasing a series of EPs, each set to launch on a seasonal solstice or equinox starting winter 2024, and intended to be compiled into a full-length record the following year.

UK Doom Metallers BOREHEAD Joins Octopus Rising; New Single Out Now

London-based instrumental doom metal band BOREHEAD joins Octopus Rising.

“We’re stoked to be working with Argonauta Records and their new Octopus Rising imprint. Argonauta have such a deep roster of great music and great artists. We’re looking forward to joining them on the journey” - says the band

The first single, entitled 'Zoonosis,' has been released and is now available here: https://youtu.be/KiC-g9mwyQc

The band commented on 'Zoonosis': "This track is a special one for us as a band. It began its life during lockdown with that monstrous opening bass line written by Stu. Since then it’s evolved and grown, but we’ve always kept it rooted in that same aesthetic and meaning it had from the start – coming to terms with struggle and understanding what it means to struggle, especially in terms of health and mortality. The artwork by our friend and previous collaborator, Edu Canalejo, captured the vibe perfectly and has added another dimension to the track.

Zoonosis has been a staple of our live sets for a couple of years now, so it’s exciting to finally have it recorded and out there in the world."

The band will also perform at Desert Fest London in May: https://www.desertfest.co.uk/band/borehead/

Borehead are an instrumental three-piece, based in South London, UK. Formed in 2019, the band have been peddling their psych-tinged doom over the UK, having released two EPs, 0001 and 0002.
The band melds thick, rich fuzz with heavy grooves, thunderous riffs, and enthralling soundscapes.
Their live shows transport you to the very darkest reaches of your mind, then drag you back out again, baptised in volume.

Borehead is:

Mike – Guitars
Stuart – Bass
Richard – Drums

High On Fire announce new album and release new single/video 'Burning Down'

Iconic U.S. rock band High on Fire will release their new full-length Cometh the Storm on 19th April via MNRK Heavy. The lead track, 'Burning Down', which comes in the form of a haunting, fever dream video, is now available.

Watch the video for 'Burning Down' below:

Pre-order/save High on Fire's Cometh the Storm here

“'Burning Down' kicks off with a classic Pike riff,” says Jeff Matz. “I think this song harkens back to the early High on Fire sound, but infused with fresh, new elements. It has a killer groove that you can really sink into. The body of the song took shape in our PNW rehearsal space, and we came up with the bridge/solo section and finalized the arrangement while we were at GodCity. Kurt Ballou’s input as a producer was also hugely helpful. His keen ears and fresh perspective were invaluable in making this album.”

The GRAMMY Award-winning group, celebrating their 25th anniversary, recorded Cometh the Storm at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts with producer Kurt Ballou. The 11-song effort - the band's ninth studio album - marks the release of the first new High on Fire music since 2018's Electric Messiah and the first to feature drummer Coady Willis (Big Business, Murder City Devils), alongside bassist Jeff Matz, and guitarist/vocalist Matt Pike.

It has been more than five years since the band’s revered Electric Messiah earned High on Fire ‘Best Metal Performance’ at the 2018 GRAMMY Awards, placing the unit among the ranks of groups such as Black Sabbath, MotΓΆrhead, and Metallica as winners of the prestigious award. “Being nominated for a Grammy was pretty mind blowing, but winning one was truly surreal,” says bassist Jeff Matz. “A Grammy win was certainly not something we were aiming for, but it’s quite an honor to be recognized in that way, and we are grateful. In terms of how it’s affected us, it has definitely opened some new doors—we’ve gained some new fans and wider recognition, but it hasn’t changed how we approach our craft. We’ve always tried to create uncompromising music that feels good to us, and is in line with what we would want to listen to.”

In the half decade since the band’s Grammy nod, the world has seismically shifted and is a different place. The same can be said for High on Fire. The band’s musical archetype has been modded, morphed, and evolved; its blast radius widened. Bassist Jeff Matz joined Mutoid Man and traveled abroad to study and learn the techniques of Middle Eastern folk music and the plucked string instrument, the bağlama (or saz), Matt Pike formed a solo band, released an LP, and toured the U.S., and world-renowned percussionist, Coady Willis, he of Melvins, Big Business, and Murder City Devils united with Pike and Matz to breathe new life into the group a quarter century into their captivating career.

The lead track on High on Fire’s new album, Cometh the Storm, is the invigorating 'Burning Down', a vigorous barrage which exemplifies the prowess the unification of the three professional musicians owns.

Universally recognized as one of the most potent acts in music today, High on Fire creates dynamic metal that merges primal fury and aggression, hesher bombast and hall of fame heaviness. Described as "a supersonic exercise in conquest by volume," High on Fire has rewritten the hard rock rule book since their formation in 1998, forging a style and sound that is both critically celebrated and unique. The group features vocalist and cult guitar hero Matt Pike (also a founding member of the famed underground band SLEEP) singular bassist Jeff Matz, and powerhouse drummer Coady Willis.

About The Bands

Demons My Friends is an unlikely collaboration between members of Mexican alt-metal band QBO and Washington, DC desert rockers Fellowcraft. The stoner/doom metal trio—Lu Salinas (bass/vocals), Tarro Martinez (drums), Pablo Anton (guitar/vocals)—embarked on their creative endeavor via an impromptu recording session at the SXSW music festival in Austin, TX in 2022.

Stone Nomads is an American Metal power trio based in Houston TX. The band, formed by Jon Cosky (Guitar/Vocals) and Jude Sisk (Bass/Vocals) in 2021, incorporates the sounds of early Doom Metal, modern Sludge Metal and all things heavy. Conceptually, the band explores the journey of life and death through the heavier and darker side of things, delivered via sludged-out, powerful riff-based sonics.

Stoner Rockers Fuzz Evil Expands Sonic Horizon as a Four-Piece Band with New Single and EP Release

Fuzz Evil, the powerhouse three piece known for their infectious blend of doom and stoner rock, is set to kick off 2024 with a bang. On January 5, the band will drop their latest single, a cover of The Cars' classic hit "Just What I Needed," available on all major streaming platforms. This marks a thrilling departure from their signature sound and showcases the band's versatility.

Following the single release, Fuzz Evil will treat fans to a brand new EP titled "Smear Merchants," an eagerly anticipated follow-up to their 2023 ,"New Blood " album. "Smear Merchants" is poised to captivate listeners with its immersive sonic experience, delving deeper into the realms of doom and stoner rock. Serving as a sister record to their self-titled release in 2016, this EP promises to deliver a fresh perspective on Fuzz Evil's evolving musical journey.

In 2023, Fuzz Evil expanded their sonic horizons by adding two new talented members to their lineup, further enriching their musical tapestry. Preston Jenning, a versatile multi-instrumentalist, joined the band to lend his skills on guitar, baritone, and synth duties. His musical prowess is expected to add new dimensions to Fuzz Evil's evolving sound. Cajun Adam, the newest addition on drums, brings a rhythmic intensity that complements the band's dynamic energy.

Stoner Metallers PSYCHLONA sign with Magnetic Eye Records & release new video single 'Liberty'

PSYCHLONA have set their signatures under a multi-album deal with Magnetic Eye Records, with the British desert rockers planning to release their fourth album via the label later in 2024. See below for statements regarding the signing.

In celebration of joining Magnetic Eye, PSYCHLONA also release a new video single today. Please see below for further details of the smoking track 'Liberty'.

PSYCHLONA comment: "We are stoked to be joining Magnetic Eye", guitarist and singer Phil Hey writes on behalf of the band. "We had a few offers on the table but we all knew that this label was the way we wanted to go. We have already worked with label director Jadd Shickler under various guises over the past few years and he has become a trusted confidant and friend.

That was probably our primary reason, very closely followed by the fact that Magnetic Eye has a great roster including Greenleaf, who are one of my all-time favourite bands. It made perfect sense. We're looking forward to a long relationship with Jadd and the guys!"

Jadd Shickler welcomes PSYCHLONA: "I've been working with Psychlona for several years in different capacities, and admire the fast leaps forward they've taken in a short time", the Magnetic Eye director explains.

"In 2020, they gave even Lowrider and Elephant Tree some tough competition for a lot of folks' favorite record that year. Then they played back to back at Psycho Las Vegas, and I saw people go crazy for them firsthand. I dig their effortless desert vibe despite the guys being as British as it gets, and I love the dynamic they bring to our carefully curated roster of driven, sonically unique acts. I can hardly wait to hear what they'll do on their first full album for us next year!"

The city of Bradford in West Yorkshire is not known for an arid or hot climate. But hailing from the former industrial heartlands of rainy Northern England has not stopped PSYCHLONA from crafting an honest and particularly British take on desert rock. They don't drink tequila, they down pints of beer, my dear.

What began decades past in California got an update in the hot summer of 2016, when a group of local musicians began simmering molten riffs with the raw energy of UK punk and spoonfuls of classic English 60s and 70s psychedelia. The unique beast that is PSYCHLONA was born.

In November 2018, when all the Northern towns turn grey, their sun-drenched debut album "Mojo Rising" garnered early recognition for the band and set them on track for a prolific next several years.

The hardworking Englishmen wasted no time, following with the release of sophomore full-length "Venus Skytrip" in August 2020. The album was greeted with rave reviews across the heavy rock underground, landed PSYCHLONA their first number one on the Doom Charts, and secured them high placements on numerous end-of-year lists.

The British stoner rockers did not slow down, unleashing their third album "Palo Verde" two years later in August 2022 and immediately scored a second 10/10 review in Powerplay Magazine UK.

PSYCHLONA used the time between albums to establish themselves as a crushing live act. Aside from relentless touring, the band performed at prestigious festivals including Desertfest (UK & DE), Freak Valley (DE), SonicBlast (PT), Alcatraz Music (BE), Sonic Whip (NL) and twice across the Atlantic at Psycho Las Vegas (US).

Currently, PSYCHLONA are preparing for the release of their fourth album, which will be out via Magnetic Eye Records in 2024. Meanwhile, enjoy a taste of what they've been at with the brand new video single 'Liberty'!
